It also means that battles are going to end a lot quicker than you'd expect them to I suspect.

Marvel vs. Capcom and pretty much every other fighter with team capabilities gives each character their own health bar.
Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

So after a year of being inactive, I finally played Star Trek Online.

And immediately the game wants me to resolve a recent storyline despite how I never played it and...

    spoilers:
Odo is now leader of the Dominion. We end up fighting insect aliens for...I have no idea cause again I can't unlock the other episodes and this game just thrusts me in the conclusion. Thanks to Quark and Rom they got Martok and Worf the sword of Kahless, which apparently gave them a morale boost to assist in the ass kicking department. Weyoun dies yet again and probably for good. Dr. Bashir cures the aliens of their mental state and finally all is well as now the Gamma Quadrant is safe and allows the Federation and allies into it. But...No freaking Sisko. oh, and made a buttload of loot from this despite being underleveled as hell...Quite the return.
    end of spoilers

He expressed regretover something he almost did but didn't do while enraged. Unless one argues he was thinking clearly when he wanted to vent his anger on any convenient target that resembled what he was actually angry at, I don't see what the outrage is about. He walked to the precipice, luckily didn't fall off and regrets ever going up to it.

still, it's not something he should've talked about so casually. at least, not in this climate.

    ????

I mean the guy walked up to the precipice of beating up a random black person in the street with a blunt weapon purely because another black person committed a crime.

I'm failing to see why you're surprised people are shocked and outraged by this.

Because his friend was raped and he wanted to kill something resembling the perpetrator. It would have been a damnable act if he had actually beaten someone up, but he didn't. So he gets to move on having done harm to nobody.

If I were black, I'd certainly look at him with a lot more caution since there's no guarantee he's gotten rid of those dangerous racial biases. If he continues to have anger management issues, he should get them checked out. But he didn't hurt anybody and it sounds like he knows how horrible it could have turned out, so that's enough for me.
