I think that it's just Yu's drawing style. Doesn't look like a scar over his eye as much as the wrinkles around his wrist, or Xavier's forehead/eyebrows.

The first arc will be cyclops centered it seems, will be interesting to see the summers clan ...well being the summers clan.

Well damn that sounds bleak lol but it works in a nice juxtaposing way with House of X.
