It's weird, because I used https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Black...er_Comic_Books, which has the volumes listed one way, as I had intended to just stick with the main series issues, yet the self-described Marvel Legacy numbering has it in another way, so I wasn't sure.

Sorry, I meant I specifically read them at the same time. I stated reading BP at vol. 4 and a friend told me vol.3 was good too so I went looking for those issues and was reading them at the same time. lol

I say CJP, Liss, and Hudlin were the best.

In the current volume's sixth issue, Emperor N'Jadaka may have implied that he could not take on T'Challa the standard way even though a Klyntar is in his possession. Subsequently, he took a certain amount of Bast's powers. Until more details are revealed on how T'Challa managed to have his memories extracted, I stand on the belief that he probably fell prey to Emperor N'Jadaka's prep time.

As of now, I think his raw strength between the combination of a portion of an Orisha's power + a symbiote should be more potent than the combo of the Heart-Shaped Herb + the symbiote of Venomverse T'Challa, however his newfound strength has not been used yet on the battlefield, so he remains featless for now.

I'd agree with this, with Aaron getting an honorable mention for SWAD.

Priest's run is still the hallmark, IMO, and should be classed among the seminal runs, like the Miller DD, the (first) Claremont X-Men, and the Simonson Thor.

    Thanks for that answer.

    The disrespect to Liss

    Priest, Liss, Hudlin for me

    If SWaD counts then

SWaD, Priest (minus Kasper arc), Liss (MDMA > MWF), Hudlin vol 4

Panther heads, what are you going to remember about this run by Coates?

    For me:
    Third World Wakanda.
    BP had no memorable feats.
    Lame ass villains.
    No clear direction or purpose.
    Klaue's silent issue
Shuri speaking to the ancestors and gaining powers that make her unique vs just super smart black young woman bc that lane kinda crowded
T'Challa in space battles art was always 10/10
Reading this forum and watching the same people complain about a book they say they aren't reading for years

I think it's hard to justify counting Volume 3 and 4 as the same thing given how much 4 was intended as a retcon. That being said, I find it hard justifying 6 and 7 as separate volumes.

6&7 aren't different volumes, they are the same just renumbered for sales. Just like I wouldn't say vol 4&5 are separate really, though that makes kinda more sense in the fact that Mayberry was taking over slowly so it would be more appropriate to separate if you wanted to. But Coates naw it was renumbered twice in a 6 month timeframe. It's all the same

Volumes are weird in the comic world.

like Gillis mini is considered a volume for... reasons.

Yet McGregors stuff isn't because its techincally Jungle ACtion and some minis, despite being really long and really connected.

    Comics are weird

Is Jason Aaron really held in high regard here?
