What Collected Edition are you reading now?

I’m reading Epic Collection Silver Surfer Thanos Quest. I’ve read the Rebirth of Thanos TPB so I am double dipping on the Thanos Quest mini-series, but apart from that I am enjoying the Surfer centric stories leading into the Infinity Gauntlet.

James Bond - origins book 2, story was kind of simple but I enjoyed it well enough, art on the other hand was very poor, looks like dynamite have started scraping the barrel with these books now, got the next couple on order but if there are no improvements, I’ll probably stop collecting them

X-Cutioner's Song. While it was originally done righr when I was most obsessed with collecting X-Men, I never got a chance to read it - as it was strangely skipped in its entirety in my country.

I've read about half so far, and I'm enjoying it much more than I thought I would. The writing is solid and the art is surprisingly good, with the different artists being a strong fit with complementary styles - with the exception of the horribly overrated jarring work of Jae Lee. How he became such a darling with many fans is beyond me...

Finished Paper Girls Deluxe Edition Volume 1 and Dragon Ball VizBig Volume 1 recently. Finished Black Hammer Library Edition Volume 1 last night. Black Hammer was great as was Dragon Ball. I enjoyed Paper Girls as well but not as much as the other two. It was fun going down a nostalgia trip with Dragon Ball and seeing how different the manga is in spots compared to the anime. Funny stuff if a bit juvenile at points which can be forgiven. Black Hammer was fun with the satire on superhero comics in general mixed with its own originality. I really cared for most of the characters by the end. The pervasive sense of isolation and the characters themselves being or coming unmoored is very affecting. The book laughs at itself but was dramatic throughout. Looking forward to seeing where it goes with Library Edition Volume 2 which is an easy purchase. The World of Black Hammer Library Edition Volume 2 should be great as well expanding on characters such as Doctor Star and Sherlock Frankenstein (feels funny just writing that lol).

i can appreciate different artists styles, but I'm not particularly a fan of Jae Lee either.

Currently on Superman/Batman Vol 2. Finished Catwoman Vol 1 - Trial of Catwoman this past weekend. Enjoyed it alot more than I expected. Brubaker creates great stories.

Sandman omnibus 3. This series had to grow on me and now I understand why a lo of people are so fond of it

After reading Green Arrow by Grell Omnibus all the way through (so good) I have decided to finally knock out Thor by Walt Simonson. Have only read the first few issues before so starting over at the beginning!

Reading "Drifting Classroom." I just bought the big VIZ hardcover of volume 1 the other day, and already made it halfway through. Great stuff! Also just starting to dive into my "Wrath of Spectre" Omnibus.

FIRST ISSUE SPECIAL collected edition. Funny how some of these concepts are now active in the DCU.

MISTER MIRACLE by Englehart and Gerber. Includes MM’s B&B and DCCP appearances. I wish Gerber’s run had lasted longer.

BOOKS OF MAGIC - Gaiman’s original 4 issue series. Still a great read.

Darth Vader Dark Lord of the Sith by Charles Soule OHC 1 - this is an era of Vader's history I was always most curious about: how did he develop from the moment he was "rescued" by the Emperor.

Super quick and fun read, got 3 issues in before it was bed time. Can't wait to continue tonight after work.
