It's pretty weird. Not the Squirrel Girl part - she's popular enough - but maybe Marvel can't decide how and in what order to omnibus-up Slott's run? That is, do they put in his BND issues in the first volume? Do they do BND first instead? Superior or Big Time first? If it's not because of some weird internal debate, then I'm all sorts of flummoxed...I get striking while the iron is hot w/the Spencer and Beyond omnis (I guess), but those are going to be our only post-OMD omnis??

I've long suspected the same thing.

Never have I seen so much material under one franchise churned out in omni format in such a short period of time... smh

Would this by Volume 1 or Volume 3?

It is volume 1 of a new era. The other two volumes of this Lunar hero chronicle his origin through mid-80s.
When this title begins in '89 and runs for 60 issues it is a more modern take on the character without seriously altering who the fundamentally is at his core.

I would not have thought we'd be getting this so soon since we just got 3 Omnis as ties to the TV show.
Just hope we don't have to wait long for volume 2!

They must have known they'd be losing their rights to Conan quick, so they churned those Omnis out as fast as they could.

Too bad they can't do the same with X-Men omnis.

True, although given that the Conan Properties president said Marvel chose not to renew the license, one might suspect that the Collected Editions department thought, “Well, the initial deal is for four years, and who knows if we’ll reup after that, so let’s get as much out as we can.” And since we’re getting three CTB volumes in the last half of 2022, a person might also think the CE folks were told at some point, “Hey, odds are we won’t be renewing this license, so plan accordingly.”

Who has a running list of solicited Omnis for the remainder of 2022?
If you could post it that would be awesome!

I am sick and tired of the Publishers changing the release date for the Official Handbook Of The Marvel Universe Update '89 Omnibus. It is now coming out on October the 4th. So I really don't know what is going on with Marvel. Do You?

I assume it is due to the ongoing paper shortage
