I always thought that Diana had some empath powers not as versatile as Raven but, mainly focused around that of love through Aphrodite's blessing. Diana can reach into a persons heart no matter how ugly or broken and take way their pain. Look at Veronica or Deimos and Phobos.

1. Yeah, and no one has suggested anything that is actually unique to her. For comic book characters, it's not about the ingredients, it's about how they're prepared. It's about finding a combination of ideas that works best for the character.
2. Because a character with an iconic vehicle should be using that vehicle instead of ignoring it 90 percent of the time.
No it isn't. It's an empty platitude used to justify lack of development and evolution for the times. The costume changed for a reason despite being "iconic" because it was a relic of a bygone era.
Her flying under her own power is just as iconic if not moreso than the jet. To ignore that is to pretend nothing past 1986 has happened. Iconography is not static. Things change. Tastes and sensibilities evolve.

Intelligence, I can give you (though note the various super-gadgets and super-elixirs). But Jenkins managed to portray super empathy with Diana in the movie, because the entire scene with Charlie expressed that. Diana managed in two minutes what it'd take several years for normal therapy (that wasn't available at the time!) to manage.
«Speaking generally, it is because of the desire of the tragic poets for the marvellous that so varied and inconsistent an account of Medea has been given out» (Diodorus Siculus, The Library of History [4.56.1])
