I really wanted that Neal Adams omnibus until I learned about the recoloring. Hurry up Bronze Age Batman with proper coloring!

No ****. How can they not include this???? Like you I also am wary of the recoloring. Plus, the hardcovers have some nice intros from the artists that add some nice depth to the series so I think I’ll hold onto mine until I see an actual Absolute book.

They could even include it as an extra (and not place it between ST #39 & 40). We shall see with Vol 2 what they do or don't do. But the most recent Saga Of HCs and SCs left it out completely.

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

I went back to try and find the post but can't. Anyone else come across this?

Despite having a volume 1 in the title, does anybody know if this American Vampire omni collects the entire series? I've got the first couple of hardcovers but fell off the series and lost track with it.

I assume it will collect all of "cycle one", so the first 30+ issues and 2 minis, possibly the anthology/one shot. Cycle 2 was much shorter (12 issues?) and whatever is planned for the last one which is supposed to return later this year will probably fill out a v2

Checked mycomicshop, seems like omni collects first 4 hc's content+ limited series from 5th. I'm not going to buy it or hardcover editions either way but seems like they are going include this volume in omnibus https://www.amazon.com/American-Vamp.../dp/1401259650

I also saw this yesterday night, I am not a fan of Snyders Batman New52 run but I heard some good things about his American Vampire. Can somebody comment on the story and art?

On another note: I am still looking for some insight in the Batman Arkham Omnibus. As I stated before I am not very tempted to buy it because of the video game aspect, but has really nobody read the series?

And lastly: I read the mostly negative response to the Daniel's Deathstroke, now I am really worried that it might be actually that bad. I guess I wanted it to be good because I have a really soft spot for his art (90s X-Force ...).

I quite enjoyed the story of American Vampire, but the art wasn’t really my cup of tea, it was too ‘scratchy’, saying that, I’ll still be getting the omni

Although I wasn’t a big fan of the Snyder Batman I pretty much agree with all of this. I read the first few tpbs of AV and plan to get the omnibus.

American Vampire is great. I really like the story and art is great. Albuquerque's the main series artist and Sean Murphy and Dustin Nguyen handle the mini series. I'm a big fan of all three personally.

The description in the original link says they are just re-coloring one issue. Hopefully that stays true.

Thank you for giving us an idea what to expect from the American Vampire Omnibus.

It makes the decision much easier, especially that you can enjoy it without being a Snyder fan per se.

I hope we get the recent books from the second half of the year soon as a complete list and/or on amazon.
