GOP wants to withhold funding from WHO for conclusions it doesn't like

WASHINGTON – Republicans in Washington are threatening to cut U.S. funding for the World Health Organization’s cancer research program over its finding that the herbicide Roundup is probably carcinogenic to humans.

House Science Committee Chairman Lamar Smith says the 2015 finding by the International Agency for Research on Cancer was fundamentally flawed and relied on cherry-picked science. The Texas lawmaker says he has concerns about bias within the program, raising questions about whether it should receive government money.

He's still bitching about having lost the popular vote to Hillary, complained about his inauguration crowd having been smaller than Obama's, and recently equated Democrats not having applauded him at the SOTU to treason. What would you call that other than out of control egomania?

I no longer care about re-litigating what happened in the 2016 election...but the only question that really still bugs me is, how a New York billionaire trust fund elite was able to convincingly paint himself to a particular group as the savior of the blue color worker. I mean, I know a lot of lies were involved, and dog whistles and all that...but for real. The dude is such an obvious sham.

But again, that whole Jim Jones thing, I guess. But with less fake socialism.

That said, it is not the only possibility. Folks seem to want to ignore that fact to create what they want to believe is actually happening.

Macron did not ask for the parade. He inherited it from a different time. And it would be pretty much impossible to get rid of. The parade honors the French revolution, which was the beginning of the end of feudal rule in Europe. The French are still very proud of that.

Trump did not ask for a parade that commemorates a historically significant event. He wants to see big rockets to make up for his small penis.

If you can't see the difference, it is very telling about the scope of your vision.

And this is a guy who hired undocumented Polish workers to help with the demolition of the Bonwit Teller building to make way for his Trump Tower. There was a quiet 1.4 million settlement and the records on the case were thought to be lost. But they turned up last year.

Showing what a hypcrite he is these are the particulars of the case:

Attorney Lewis Steel wrote to Manhattan Federal Judge Loretta Preska last week, stating former lawyer Wendy Sloan had uncovered the documents that could shed further light on a 1983 lawsuit filed by a Polish union worker that alleged then-real estate developer Trump had mistreated and even threatened to have Polish workers deported while they demolished the building that stood before his titular tower on New York’s Fifth Avenue, Trump Tower...
In the case involving undocumented workers from Poland, the workers complained in 1980 that they were working in unsafe conditions and were not being paid on time. Other documents from the case, according to Time, found Trump had actively pursued the Polish workers, created the company that would pay them and directly worked out their work schedules.
