    Idiotically, I left out a word there "FEW" I meant by that I'd have thought she'd have more the way the boards go on about her at times.

    My priority is enjoying and supporting stories of timeless heroism and conflict.
    Everything else is irrelevant.

    I think every GL has some thematic ties to the mantle in their own way, Jess' just might be more overt because her anxiety is more overt but then one could argue Hal is a literal daredevil who's civilian job is about overcoming fear on a daily basis.

    Honestly don't see it (least of all with Hal, but then again, from what I've seen, Hal is the most boring GL character ever and only stays around because he was the "first," meaning he will never be replaced). All that said, I will concede that my experience with the other characters is limited.

    For me it's Guy. His debut during the havoc and mayhem of the first Crisis was just epic to me, and I LOVED the vest. I only regret that his brashness and arrogance led to him assembling a group of questionable 'allies' during a climactic battle, leading directly to the death of a classic Lantern.

    Aside from that, I dig Guy.

    No, Hal has stuck around because a lot of people other than you actually like him. Shocking, I know...

    Chuck Dixon started it, but Beau Smith was the writer who really cemented Guy as a favourite.
    I also really loved how Judd Winick and Geoff Johns handled the character too.
    This might be heresy, but I kinda like Guy as a Vudarian with the ability to transform his arms (and legs?) into guns and rockets.

    I voted Jessica Cruz. I think she tends to be a lot of fans second favorite Green Lantern, not the first choice for most. I’d be curious to see how a multiple choice poll would go. In the poll I created, she was neck and neck with Kyle for 3rd place. Not bad for a 5 year old character.
    Done with DC. Can't handle the constant whiplash! Time to go on a hiatus!

    i know this is not the topic of the thread... but what's up with peacemaker's helmet? it's so bulky, yet he wears a short sleeve shirt.

    NOTE: This thread / poll was created back in May of 2020.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    With 93 people having voted so far,
    * Hal Jordan = 46 votes
    * John Stewart = 12 votes
    * Kyle Raynor = 12 votes
    * Guy Gardner = 9 votes
    * Jessica Cruz = 8 votes

    All other choices currently have fewer than 8 votes.

    And as to why there's no option for Alan Scott (Golden Age Green Lantern), . . .

    I'm assuming that would also apply to Abin Sur and many others.

    Yeah mate. It probably is.
    That said, Beau made a purse from a sow's ear. Giving him the Vuldarian powers removed him from all things GLC related, but meant he could STILL have a relevancy in the DCU universe. A masterstroke!
