Leaving poochie aside, what are the champions fighting next? They're in the middle east, maybe ISIS?

The safest thing if they'll do that route is to fight a similar middle eastern terrorist organization, but not actually name freaking ISIS by name.

This isn't 1940's Nazi fighting anymore.

If they need to fight a terrorist stand-in, they'll probably fight some version of Hydra (which is all the more relevant right now with HydraCap).

With Kamala's Pakistani roots a Taliban expy would make the most sense. The religious intolerance angle should also hit home for Scott since he has already had a run in with the Purifiers.

If they are going to fight Hydra, it could be interesting. But it would be curious to see them having a confrontation with Sin, Red Skull's daughter (after all it would some kind of battle of legacies)

I would like to see the Champions face a mystical/magical foe. None of the members have any magical abilities so I think this would be a nice challenge for them. I think the Enchantress II (Sylvie) would be interesting. Also, more powerful/serious magical threats like the actual Enchantress or Dormammu would be fun.

I'd love to see the Champions go up against Death Locket. She'd obviously be overpowered by herself, and I think Waid wants to stay away from teams the Masters of Evil so I'm not sure how it would happen but I'd love to see her make an appearance.

Overpowered? Viv would be able to defeat her easily just by phasing through her. Phasing neutralises electronics.

.....Another excellent supergroup of bad teens are the Bastards of Evil; originally seen within the YOUNG ALLIES Seriee, in which some of the members were Firestar, Aranya/Spider-Girl & Gravity.

The Runaways will be back as a team of their own soon enough, to connect to that Hulu show they're getting.

With Tyke going back to the X-men: Blue team, I guess this means he won't be with the Champions for very long. Nor will he be the leader.
