I always thought Emilie de Ravin would work. Looks wise at least...

She played a dark, powerful, and multifaceted character, Tess, in Roswell. She might be a bit too old now, though.

Illyana has been one of my favorite characters no matter what decade it was...80's, 90's 2000's. Whether she was Illyana, Magik, Darkchilde, " Snowflake", on the Extinction Team or one of the P5...she's the best. I even love her in Uncanny and she's the only reason Im holding onto it. She has the best " I dont give a f*k" attitude. This is one of my favorite scenes from NM 52 where she dips out from a Danger Room session cuz she was over it , lol.

I'd offer that there are very few blonde actresses who can pull off the bangs look with the fierce personality that Magik portrays.

She only 33. Older actors than that play high-school or college kids all the time. Plus she looks like she could be in her early 20's.

We don't really know in what way did Magik absorbed Limbo, but it seems like an extreme version of siphoning Limbo for power, and also the fact that Magik was destroying Limbo little by little whenever she's siphoning that dimension for power (as said from Bendis' UXN #7), so I get the impression that Magik may be like a "ticking time bomb" after absorbing the dimension.

S'ym was able to get out of Limbo by himself. He appeared on the earth realm from Chris Claremont's New Mutants #14.
