The Hillary Clinton of drug lords joke is back, maybe she'll rebrand to Elizabeth Warren.

I demand a Syndicate book or mini-series. They are quirky as hell. Glad Spencer remembered that Scorpia was formerly institutionalized. And Lady Octopus is a foodie I guess.

Really loved this issue! As others have stated just loved the whole “progressive feminism in the workplace” angle with this group. I like how Spencer is willing to give equal opportunity to women in villainy. Indeed, we’ve had tons of advances for heroines in the MU, but why not villains? Even the bad guys need to be fully repped here!
Again, Spencer has some of the best developments with the villains. They’re not in it for big, grandiose plans like a Dr. Doom or Red Skull, but just to make a living. And Spencer develops that with the females here.
And oh yeah, Spidey and Boomerang have some great moments too .
Yeah...probably nah....maybe a little nah....or maybe maybe?

My only complaint is the art, was not a fan of it at all.

The patriarchy in the world of crime is coming to an end...
Art was average IMO, story was ok as it was mostly set-up but it's got me interested enough to care about what happens with the Boomerang story next issue.
Count me in with the artwork is average group here. Wasn't feeling the work at all. Story was so so. Felt like nothing happened though. Granted while this "Kindred" thing is running hot I know we are going to get treated to a few filler issues along the way so I guess its expected.
Hillary Clinton really aggrivated me with her Inherently racist, stupid and deplorable" remark. I cannot put Elizabeth Warren in her category. Kamala Harris and Kristen Gillibrand are more of a drug lord Clinton type then Warren. Why? Those look down on average people like Clinton did.
I must say, after reading this issue, it made me long for a Superior Foes of Spider-Man revival. Though I imagine Nick Spencer would just as comfortable writing a Friendly Neighborhood Boomerang series. And yes, Beetle's Sinister Syndicate pitch was hysterical.

My opinion on this issue was, meh. I felt it was Spencer's weakest issue thus far. Maybe my apathy stems from the fact I don't care about Fred or his running buddies. I find their antics boring and cheesy. Still, I'll give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars, or about average for a comic book.
