    I actually didn't but I have a PS4. I've looked it up once and apparently you can change the region code 3 or 4 times and then that's it, but not region free just from B to A.

    I used to collect Blu-ray steelbooks and get special editions sent over from America and if it was a Blu-ray/dvd combo (which most of them were) the Blu-ray was always region free, it was the dvd that was region locked

    I keep seeing the Criterion stuff listed as region A so I assume they are actually region A. Don't really want to risk it since they are not the cheapest. (I could probably buy a region A blu-ray player from amazon for about £30 anyways).

    I watched through the LOTR Extended Editions a few weeks ago over a couple of days. I'm ashamed to admit that I've not seen any of the Hobbit films. I'll be watching them next chance I get.

    Thanks! Netflix are doing a Grishaverse TV show and announced the casting this week, so it could've been that.
