Guess I am in the minority here...I am not feeling the art. Too bright & cartoonish for me.

However, I am still going to give this title a short. Art may grow on me after a a few issues...

But that art... not my style. Will be painful to pass on this book.

You know, I was on a big fat no on this book. But after this interview, it turn into a maybe on trade wait. I know in time I'll change my mind by the time it's release on issue 1. That I'll be buying this book every time an issue is release.

Cyclops himself would say that he’s got too much going on to worry about being team leader. Old habits die hard, though, and Cyclops sometimes tries to take a leadership role. Beast, Angel and Iceman are quick to put him in his place when that happens.

But Cyclops has, throughout X-Men history, often questioned his ability to lead at any given moment.
And in X-Factor, while he led, it was often half-assed, with Jean often helping out tremendously.
    And I like Cyclops.
He can still be a great x-man without being leader.

It's often said that being leader is the one thing he does - guy needs to start being defined some other way.

Cyclops wasn't the leader before anyway. Beast was.

One of the greatest thing about him IS the fact that he questions his leadership abilities. It makes him humble.

I'm in the same boat, but it could have been worse. We could have gotten someone along the lines of Land or Ramos. *shudder*

So basically post-Morrison Scott. Whedon was the beginning of the end.

    Kind of. Yeah.
    To me, anyway.
It seemed the arrogance added to the character was not genuine.

...why are they still here, again? Much less, allowed to go any mission deemed even remotely life threatening?

Realistically speaking about fictional matters. | Nutcases need not respond. | Stay outta my DMs. | Why does the "House of Ideas" keep duplicating characters?! | If an idea or belief cannot stand up to criticism it's probably... bad.

Because they did this during the silver and early bronze age?
