Whoever wrote this is badly misguided.

There is a family element to this that makes her origin different. Her cousin did this to her. Jennifer would have died via any other exposure method, yet her genetics being close enough to Bruce's to survive a blood transfusion that would have killed anyone else. The factors at play are incredibly specific and unique.

After he leaves, it's up to Jennifer to pick up the pieces and figure out what to do with her life, as Bruce is too busy to watch over her. And Jennifer's successes and failures are all on her.

    This isn't complicated.

    Fantastic Four #269 Aug 1984
    "Skyfall!" Guest-starring Wyatt Wingfoot.
Wyatt Wingfoot is out in the desert near his tribe, his mind turning to the fact that he will
have to lead his people now that his grandfather, Black Fox, passed away seven days previous.
As he rides through the desert on his ATV, he reflects on how many adventures he's had with the Fantastic Four,
and how the prospect of running his tribe will be dull by comparison. Wyatt's thoughts are suddenly cut short when
he witnesses a massive beam of energy coming from the sky as it begins cutting a swath through the desert ground.
He barely manages to dodge out of the way of the beam, upsetting his bike in the process.
Recovering from the spill and riding his vehicle closer to the trench, he realizes that
the chasm must be at least a thousand feet feet deep and decides to call in the authorities.

Meanwhile, in New York City, Johnny has finally found some time to sit down and have dinner with Sharon Selleck,
who has been interested in Johnny for months. Although Sharon is interested in what Johnny has been up to,
he is reluctant to discuss his time during the Secret Wars or that Sue recently had a miscarriage.
The date is cut short when Johnny spots Alicia Masters walking by.
Johnny rushes to her side and offers to help her get the Museum of Natural History. She is thankful for the help and the two depart.
When Johnny apologizes for cutting out on Sharon, Sharon finds it interesting that Johnny is rushing to Alicia's aid.
Suspecting that he might be interested in Alicia, Sharon realizes that the Thing
has not been seen in the city since the Fantastic Four returned to Earth.
While at the Baxter Building, Sue is home recovering from her miscarriage. With the loss of their second child,
Sue comes to terms with the fact that she and Reed should not attempt to have any more children.
Her thoughts are interrupted by Franklin who enters the room to tell her that his uncle
Johnny won't be making it out to dinner and asks if they can go back to Belle Porte.
Sue is glad to hear that Franklin is adjusting to their other life as the "Benjamins" in Connecticut.
When Franklin asks if She-Hulk will stay after Ben comes back from Battleworld, Sue says she doesn't know and tells Franklin to go and pack.
Sue walks off, musing about her early relationship with Reed as she goes to the lab to check on Reed and She-Hulk.

In the lab, Sue and She-Hulk exchange pleasantries, and She-Hulk reveals her secret identity to them.

Reed then shows off his latest invention a device that can give an object the velocity of another object in space.
He demonstrates the device by giving a tennis ball half the velocity of Earth's sun, causing the ball to implode on itself.
Suddenly Reed gets a phone call from Wyatt warning him of the danger.
As Reed asks for more information, She-Hulk notices another red beam of energy
striking the Earth from the window as it cuts a swath across the Hudson River.
Reed suddenly gets a call from the President of the United States who demands to know what is going on.
Reed tells the President that he is going to investigate the situation and get back to him.
Reed mobilized She-Hulk and tells Sue to stay behind to act as their liaison while they investigate things in Oklahoma.
Sue protests this but is outranked by Reed, leaving Sue to believe that Reed is getting
back into the habit of treating her like a fragile woman who cannot hold her own in battle.
With Reed gone, Sue gives in to her anger over this, and vows never to be treated
as a liability again, unleashing the full force of her powers in Reed's lab as a response.

At that moment, Reed and She-Hulk are rocketing across the United States in the Pogo-Plane, following the trail of the strange beam.

Reed realizes that the path of the beam came from light years in space and that it must
have been a precisely complex task in order to strike the Earth perfectly in the way it did.
As they reach the desert, they just barely manage to avoid a massive object that suddenly
falls from the sky and strikes the ground... what appears to be some kind of alien ship.
Reed and She-Hulk land the plane and approach the strange object
and wait for it to begin cooling down from re-entry so they can get a closer look.
They are joined by Wyatt Wingfoot and members of his tribe.

As formalities are made and discussion turns to the strange beam, none are aware that the strange "ship"
is actually a massive creature who raises his hand, glad to finally be at his destination.
At that moment, Reed takes the others to the Pogo Plane where he shows his scan
of the beam's path via satellite photos and shows that it is some kind of alien writing.
Reed runs it through the Fantastic Four's Universal Translator and it comes out reading "I claim this world" signed by a being called Terminus.
When they begin to puzzle this over, they are suddenly called out by Terminus himself.
When they turn to face their foe they are shocked that what they thought was a ship is
actually the massive body of Terminus, who vows to enslave the planet and make it his own.

Story and art by John Byrne.

Why wasn't she referenced in Endgame, or brought in to help, then?

This just opens up a giant plot hole.

No one here who's an adaption purist should be holding their breath. The MCU has changed everything about everyone, and they're going to do the same with Jen.

Reed: The intricacies of the law have always been like another language to me.

So that's why he formed the Illuminati; he didn't know what he was doing was super illegal!

As long as it is as inspiring as a brave lawyer standing up to a dangerous, criminal gang I'd be fine with mixing it up.

I wrote an article regarding the rumored Hulk V Wolverine movie, and I know this may not be the best place to post it, but I couldn't think of anywhere better and it mentions shulkie briefly, so i figured it counts.

    Enjoy!

The Jade Giant will return, and he’s coming after Wolverine...at least according to unconfirmed sources!!! Rumors of Wolverine’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been swirling, claiming that his debut film with Disney has entered the early stages of development. Mikey Sutton, a writer for comicbookmovie.com claims that Kevin Feige’s team is developing a Wolverine Vs The Hulk movie. Mr. Sutton did predict Black Panther’s introduction into the MCU in Captain America: Civil War before it was officially revealed. His credibility is slightly bolstered for his accuracy regarding what was at the time, an unconfirmed rumor. Regardless, this new rumor should be taken with a large grain of salt, as this is just a rumor and Mr. Sutton does not speak for Disney or Marvel Studios. Only a couple details were provided outside of “The Hulk is gonna fight Wolverine!” The first big detail is that while it would be a hero vs. hero movie similar to Batman Vs. Superman, (hopefully not too similar) it would still be titled and promoted as a Wolverine movie due to complications with Universal’s rights to The Incredible Hulk. For those that don’t know, while Disney is welcome to use Hulk as a supporting character (i.e. Ragnarok) and in ensemble movies (i.e. Avengers), any solo outing starring him would be distributed by Universal, making it a poor financial decision for Disney. That is why we have not had a solo Hulk movie since Edward Norton played the role in 2008. That being said, there is a possibility that Universal is no longer involved, due to the announcement of the upcoming She-Hulk TV show on Disney Plus. Universal Studios was long believed to hold the rights to Jennifer Walters, and since that is clearly no longer the case, perhaps Disney has acquired the full rights to all characters Universal previously controlled. That is just speculation though, and should also be consumed with another sizable helping of salt. The point is that despite being a Hulk Vs. Logan movie, this would be presented as a Wolverine movie. The second notable piece of information that this rumor provided is that this incarnation of the Hulk would be adapted from Al Ewing’s Immortal Hulk comic book. This version of Bruce Banner is unique, as he no longer turns into The Hulk when he’s angry. Bruce Banner can be killed, during the day, temporarily. The Hulk emerges when night falls, and he retains his intelligence, similar to Professor Hulk. The big difference between Professor Hulk and The Immortal Hulk is that while both are intelligent and retain their ability to speak, the Professor is effectively Bruce in Hulk’s body, whereas the Immortal Hulk is his own entity, separated from Bruce. This new Hulk also has an improved healing factor, regenerating at unprecedented speeds. This series also retconned the origin of the Hulk, introducing a character known as the One-Below-All. The One-Below-All is a being from hell, with power over Gamma-afflicted individuals such as The Hulk and She-Hulk. He is a devil far stronger than Mephisto, the king of Hell. He is usually sealed behind something called the Green Door, which is basically a gamma-portal to hell. When Bruce was first hit with a Gamma Bomb, so many years ago, he was infused with the power of the One-Below-All, resulting in the birth of The Hulk. Due to this, the Immortal Hulk is actually often referred to as Demon Hulk. This series is being heralded by critics as one of the greatest Hulk stories ever written, so to see it adapted to the big screen just a few short years after being published would be absolutely incredible. Wolverine actually made his first appearance fighting the Hulk, so this movie would have a lot of content that would make long-time fans of these characters ecstatic. The Old Man Logan miniseries, (arguably one of the best Wolverine comics ever) actually pitted Wolverine and Hulk against each other, in a gruesome and bloody fight to the death. They’ve famously battled in Marvel’s Ultimate universe as well, and that fight ended when Hulk tore Wolverine in half and threw his lower half miles away. These two have quite the long standing rivalry, and watching that unfold on the big screen would certainly be very cinematic, and could be the perfect way to introduce Logan into the Avengers universe. Should you believe this rumor? I’m going to say no. However, if Wolverine Vs. The Hulk is coming, get ready for a showdown unlike anything the Marvel Universe has seen yet.

    Sensational She-Hulk #4 Aug 1989
    "Tall Disorder"
Jennifer is getting dressed for her first meeting with her new boss.
After trying several different outfits, she finally finds one that she feels is appropriate.

As Jen tries to rush out the door, she is stopped by her cook and butler, who want to tender their resignations.
They feel that working for her may be too dangerous if the apartment gets attacked again like it was by the fake Toad Men.
Jen tries to talk them out of it, but they insist. "But...but...you can't leave yet! I'm not scheduled to get my robot butler until at least the ninth issue!"

Flashback to three months ago...an attractive young woman named Taryn O'Connell is waiting at a truck stop to meet up with some mystery man.
Taryn wonders when he is going to show up--she has spent a lot of time tracking him down.
Suddenly, a huge rig drives up. Taryn realizes it must be him, and she starts to get nervous.
The man gets out of the truck, and with the bright lights behind him, all that can be seen is
a monstrous silhouette of what looks to be a man-shaped giant boar! "Road word is you're lookin' f'r me..."

Back in the present, Jennifer arrives for her interview. Louise Mason greets her at the front desk, and tells Jen to call her "Weezi".
She tells Jen that she is very glad that she decided to come in for the interview.
"I have...my own reasons for wanting you to take this job! I mean, I know I'll only be a supporting character...but that beats the alternative!"
Jen is confused, but Weezi rushes her in to meet D.A. Tower. Jen takes one look at the attractive blonde man, and she faints.

When she comes to, Jen blushes and says she shouldn't have skipped breakfast this morning.
Tower tells Jen to go home and get some rest--they can have the meeting when she is feeling better.
He asks Weezi to make sure that Jen gets home safely. Weezi leads Jen out and says that they'll call her a cab.

As they walk out, Jen comments on how embarrassed she is, but she didn't expect her new love interest to be introduced so soon.
Weezi tells her to think again... Towers is married, with two daughters.
She-Hulk gets mad, and demands to know what kind of game Byrne is playing with her!
She starts to climb out of the panel, but Weezi restrains her, reminding her that the book has been published... there is a reader out there now.
Weezi decides to take Jen out for lunch to calm her down. She shows Jen a new trick, by walking between panels to get from one scene to another.

They arrive in a restaurant, where Weezi starts to explain things to Jen.
Weezi reveals that she used to be the Blonde Phantom, whom Jen remembers as one of the old Timely heroines.

Weezi talks about her career in the Forties, fighting crime in a red evening gown. She eventually married her love interest, Detective Mark Mason.
Wheezi then asks Jennifer how old she is; Jen tells her she is 31. Weezi says that as long as Jen is in the comics, she'll always be 31.
However, she and Mark weren't in comics anymore, so they started to age like normal people.
Then, one day the old heroes, like Namor and Captain America, started to return.
She and Mark were sure that it wouldn't be long until it was their turn again. Unfortunately, it didn't happen--and Mark died.
When he died, Weezi decided that she had to do something--so she used Mark's city hall connections
to get herself a job with D.A. Tower, so that she would be in a position to recommend Jennifer for a job.
That way she could appear as a supporting character in She-Hulk's series, and stop aging.

Their conversation is interrupted when a giant metal leg smashes down on the table between them!
It is Stilt-Man, passing through on his way towards the municipal building!
Wheezi explains that Stilt-Man recently broke out of prison, and swore revenge against Towers for sending him there.
She-Hulk plans to take Stilt-Man down a peg or two, but decides not to risk ruining an eight-hundred dollar custom outfit.
Jen strips down to her chemise and hands her clothes to Wheezi. She-Hulk follows after Stilt-Man, and leaps up to land on his shoulders!

Before she can attack, however, he zaps her off with an electrical discharge!
She-Hulk drops into a garbage pail, but instantly gets back up and charges at him again.
This time, she knocks his legs out from under him, causing him to topple over.
However, Stilt-Man then extends his legs again, kicking She-Hulk into a wall!
He quickly gets back on his feet, and then stomps down on She-Hulk, driving her underground!
She-Hulk's head emerges into a subway tunnel, just as the train is coming.
Jen doesn't have time to get clear, so she braces herself as the train smashes into her, and her face slices through the train.

Meanwhile, Weezi worries that Jen isn't doing well, and she wonders if this is the cue for her to return to action as the Blonde Phantom.
Then she pictures herself wearing her red gown with her current figure, and decides against it.
However, she realizes that she can still be of some help, and rushes back into the restaurant to ask Luigi a favor.
They come running out with a vat of lard, which they spill in Stilt-Man's path!
Stilt-Man walks into it, and he starts to slip and slide all over the place!
However, the Stilt-Man simply detaches the lower section of his stilts and keeps going,
but he vows to come back and make Weezi pay for her interference after he's done with Tower.

At that moment, She-Hulk frees herself and grabs a hold of Stilt-Man's legs.
She tells Weezi to make a wish--and then she pulls his legs apart like she would a wishbone.
The armor splits apart, and the now helpless Stilt-Man falls into Jen's waiting arms!

Soon, while the police take Stilt-Man away, Weezi brings Jennifer her clothes.
Jen asks Wheezi to tell her how she managed to do the walk-through-panel-borders trick a few pages back, and Weezi says
it is fairly simple, and Jen should be able to do it herself since it is basically the same mechanism as talking to the readers.
Weezi then asks Jen to explain how during that whole fight, her chemise didn't get at all ripped or torn.
Jen shows her the label on the back--"protected by the Comics Code Authority".
The two women then return to the restaurant to finish their lunch.

Back at She-Hulk's apartment building, the manager is welcoming a new tenant, who has made an unusual request for a 99 year lease!
He specifically wanted the unit next door to Jennifer and bought out the previous tenants in order to get it.
The manager puts his name-plate in place--it reads, "Mr. Powers; Adventurer".
Mr. Powers then departs, and he'll be back to move in next week.
As he walks away, the manager stares after him and thinks to herself what a hunk he is.
Her musings are interrupted when a woman named Caryn approaches her with a message for She-Hulk.
    The manager informs her that Ms. Walters isn't home at the moment;
she offers to relay the message, but Caryn just says no and walks away.

She returns her employer, in his Rolls Royce and salutes him. She tells "Mr. L" that she wasn't there.
"Very well, Caryn, we'll return to base...for now. But I have invested a great deal of effort to get here.
I need the She-Hulk if I am to destroy my greatest enemy."

Back at the restaurant, Jen is disturbed to realize that so far the stories in her new book have been following the pattern of
the early FF--aliens in issue #2, a Golden-age character in #4, so if the pattern holds, in the FF's fifth issue, they fought Dr. Doom!
"But...surely he doesn't fit with this book's declared policy of using lame villains...does he..?"

I don't expect a complete and total adaptation of her comic book origin. As long as her Disney+ origin is well done and maintains the spirit of Jen's strong family bond between her and Bruce, and her making lemonade from lemons, then it should be alright.

I'm really hoping that the series doesn't give us the John Byrne fourth-wall breaking She-Hulk. I've never liked this silly take on the character.

I also don't want to see this show as primarily a courtroom drama.

There are enough of those on TV already.

Wasn't that her schtick before Deadpool? That's her most iconic thing.

it was for the sensational book, but i think it got retconned in the slott run where the whole sensational she-hulk run became an in universe comic book?

i wonder if the writers were inspired by the animal man book out at the time
