Filth is good some weird stuff in there, also loved Flex Mentallo the whole each issue being based on a different age of comics was a great idea.

Thanks for the replies on the Silver Age Doom Patrol and Morrison's as well.
I'm leaning towards getting it. Even paying tax(I'm a TN resident) off of IST the week of release the book will be about $55 and it contains 41 issues. That's about $1.30 an issue in nice oversized format. If I realize I'm not liking it I can sell it and get most or all of my money back at some point. If I like it, and I like a large amount of SA material, I may hunt down Morrison's tome.

I liked invisibles although it had some WTF is going on moments. It was Flex I didn't enjoy.

Anyone got the Knightfall omnibus? I understand it finally collects Batman 484-490 and it's only missing Sword of Azrael.

Still wondering if I should get it considering I have the 2012 TPB's plus all the missing comics in floppys.

This is what's completely confusing to me who is somewhat new to comic collecting. I have the 3 Knightfall TPB, but are you saying the omnibus has stuff in it that the tpb's don't?

Yes, the Omnibus Vol 1 has more than the Vol 1 TPB (and not just because one is Omnibus and other is not). Important prelude material is in the Omni and not in the softcovers. From what we know of the Omni's, they will (finally) be significantly more complete than the existing New Edition thick softcovers.

Knightfall prelude issues and Knightquest The Search will be the key unique additions to the Omnis (vs the existing New Edition thick softcovers). Along with a few other issues and cool certain extras.

(Sword of Azrael, which I think absolutely belongs in Knightfall collections as the very first arc, will be the only thing left DC hasn't rectified with the Omnis.....if they finally realize that Robin #0 is the true first part (part 0) of Prodigal that is in the future Vol 3 Omni, assuming it follows the TPBs and includes Prodigal)

In summary, these Omni's look to be proof that third time is a charm for DC in mostly correctly collecting the KFall saga.

Thats strange, I always hear really good Things about Flex Metallo. That's why I enjoy it here, the diverse and honest feedback.

If Vol.2 and 3 are going to be complete too, then I may get Vol.1. As I say, I do own the 2012 releases plus all the missing content via the individual comics, but the omnibus does look nice and it'll be easier having them in all one package tbh.

    Mmmmmm........

Yea, Vol 2 Omnibus we do seem to know from Amazon will have The Search (which is very important). We don't know the contents of Vol 3 yet, no solicit, but I'd expect it to be as good or better than softcover Vol 3 that you have already.

Instead of trying to force Deluxes on people that don't want them, DC could at least do like a $7.99 (or more) half trade reprint of The Button arc. They did that with DC Universe Rebirth #1, but I guess not now. Thanks DC.

QUESTION: Will Batman/The Flash: The Button Deluxe Edition that collects BATMAN #21-22 and THE FLASH #21-22, also be included in their Rebirth TPB's? Or will they be left out and this is the only collected edition for them?
Reliving my second childhood.... Making my TPB's take a back seat.....I'm now a new DC Omnibus and Hard Bound Book Collector: Batman: The Golden Age Omni V1 / Legends of the Dark Knight: Jim Aparo Vol. 2 / Gotham Central Omni / Justice League of America Silver Age Omni's V1 & V2 / Superman: The Golden Age Omni V1/ Green Lantern Omni V1
with many more purchases soon to come.....

Deluxe is the only collected edition for them (I of course checked the relevant Batman & Flash trade solicits). Didio even told me they have committed to no further release beyond that yet.

So then when I buy those 2 specific trades, those 2 Batman and 2 Flash issues won't be included. That stinks.

Yes, just skips those. Batman's next trade is the pre-Button Bane arc then post-Button stories ending with the Catwoman proposal.
