Last page is pretty vague on location. It also has teenage girls in swimsuits. I should've waited until I got home lol.

"Cable was right!"
I think one reasons fans turned against Reed was because he seemed to have a superiority complex.
I personally don't hate Reed, I just don't like how most thing on the FF centers around him. Whether they are plots or villains. I also don't like how the day is often saved solely by him with his science. It's a weakness that a scientific team only has one person involved in that aspect. It makes the others seem superfluous.

I see this as more evidence the FF were based more on Rip Hunter's crew, Cave Carson's crew, and Dane Dorrance's crew than they were the Challengers of the unknown. The Challengers were more equals than the three other teams mentioned who consisted of a scientist star and back-up singers. Those other teams pretty much became the scientist star as the FF focuses heavily on Reed's science.
I can see that.
I hope things start to balance out, Slott's run obviously has Ben as the focus which is a nice change (when Slott doesn't outright neglect the others). I'm hoping someday soon a writer puts things in place that give Ben, Sue, and Johnny more than be Reed's assistants/bodyguards and have them be his actual equals.
Give Sue a field in something that actively benefits the team during their adventures (doctor, archaeologist, diplomat etc.).
Play up Ben's experience in the army and as a pilot (he should really be the field leader whenever they're in uncharted territory)
Emphasize Johnny's mechanical skills more, have him save the day with those skills.
Things like that.

Fantastic Four:Antithesis#1 was a good read.
I especially liked the art by Neal Adams and i am intrigued to read the rest of this limited series.
I know you've shifted your desire for a profession for Sue to archeologist, but keeping with the prior pick of doctor, we have a Star Trek team of Spock (Reed), McCoy (Sue), Sulu (Ben), and Scotty (Johnny). The talents and professions are there and except for Sue, 100% canonical.
Being Love's B__ch, as Spike would say, means I'm such a romantic that this is actually a good reason why I see Sue and Namor having emotional resonance. It is not always so apparent. But some of my favorite scenes were from the first 100 when Reed proposed or committed by the Heart trees after Dragon Man episode. And things/scenes like that.
A lot of the '50s sci fi especially outer space adventures usually had a team with one female and there was romantic tension between 2 men over her. Typical '50s stuff that lasted for a few decades and started many before. I've always been a women's libber (and I have the credentials to prove it), so I've always felt depictions of romance are male centered, but from the imaginary POV of the woman. If a woman was writing the FF way back, maybe Sue would have went with Namor? (we'e have to be more liberated in more ways, LOL)
My top choice may have changed, but I'd be more than fine with this. I'm good with almost any path that has Sue more involved with the team's mission statement outside of her powers, as well as gives her opportunities outside of the team. I think a doctor is great choice to do both those things.
MCU FF will more than likely give her some sort of specialization. I'd rather the comics get ahead of that and give comic Sue one already instead off waiting and copying whatever the film does.
