    Default $5.99

Looks like the pandemic continues to hit everyone a little more...As of issue 109, Batman jumps up in price to $5.99

I didn't buy the latest issue and I won't buy another issue of tynions run or a 5.99 price point. That's absurd. Esp for a tynion bat book.

I thought it was already clarified that Batman is staying at $4.99 cover price for the regular cover / $5.99 for the variant cover?

Yes, it was clarified. That won't stop people from spreading the false news or people from reacting to it.

Yeah, wasn't it $3.99 for standard and $4.99 for the card variant cover before? And the extra dollar they're charging now is justified as they increased the page count to fit in a backup story.

I don't know if justified is the right word for it, I think it's more like rationalizing it.

DC raised the prices for trades and hardcovers as well. Makes Dark Horse look better in comparison. Better stories (unless its stuff like Batman's Grave, Batman Universe, White Knight etc), Hardcovers with lower prices. Please correct me, if I'm wrong.

It might just be people are spreading "old false news" because they haven't caught up with the latest corrections yet.

The cover for Batman #109 at that link literally has a $4.99 price listed on it.

It was not meant at a jab at anyone in this thread, more an observation on how these things live on.

$5.99 is ridiculous, that's about the same price as a slim paperback in the 90's or a prestige format book like The Killing Joke back in the day.

I agree that $5.99 plus tax is too much, I won't buy it. Unless it has more than 30 pages of story.
We consumers need to vote with our wallets .
I enjoyed Joker # 1 , but for $5.99 I will not be getting Joker anymore.
Unless my LCS will sell it for the $4.99 , but I doubt it .
DC Comics needs to be bought out by either Image , Dark Horse , IDW . ,
DC's owners AT&T don't care about the comics, just profits .
I understand profits , but be reasonable. Wages haven't gone up yet.
