I would love for Deodato to work on Daredevil whenever it relaunches with a new #1

Love his art. He's probably my favourite artist.

One of my first comics was Dark Avengers by Bendis and Deodato.

Deodato's art isn't my favorite, but it always reminds me of that first issue and always makes me feel at home.

I love his use of heavy shadows. He may be splashy, but I think he's a good storyteller. Not all splashy artists are.

    I like his art, too.
What I like most about Deodato's art is his use of light and shadow, and how his characters seem to have a solid form.
With him, the inking is just as important as the pencils and not simply used to 'darken the lines'.

I actually disliked his earlier art and thought all his women looked like Angelina Jolie with big butts, tiny wastes and bubble boobs and the guys were... well. It was the 90's. As a Nightcrawler fan when I first heard Deodato Jr. was going to be drawing his story in X-Men Unlimited I wasn't overly thrilled and wasn't expecting much and to my surprise I ate my words. His style definitely matured and instead of going for bubbly he went for mood and atmosphere, not only did his story-telling improve but his landscapes and anatomy as well. I was very pleased. He was no longer the artist I cringed at while reading Thor. I'll forgive him that awful outfit. I'm always happy when 90's artists improve from their 90's hot look and find success. I know many were pressured to draw that way. Suffice to say I was happy.

    Very happy.

Hands down one of the best Nightcrawlers I've ever seen and not just the style but Kurt's tactics and his menace. Big thumbs up, sir!

I agree. Great mood and atmosphere.

I remember being excited for Witches. But it got delayed, IIRC.
When it did come out, I totally missed it because there wasn't really much buzz about it.

been a big fan since he did work on the avengers back in the 90s, costume design left something to be desired but the art was great none-the-less

Didn't he design Scarlet Witches red and black outfit then? I really fancied that one. I know his Thor one was awful, though he may not have designed that one. I can't quite remember when in the 90's it debuted.

Deodato has been tracing directly from 3D modeling programs like Poser/Daz Studio for the past decade. It’s really plainly apparent to anyone who’s familiar with them.

Take a look at this cover and you can see the wires on the bottom of the floor clipping through Loki’s feet. Is that something anyone would draw on purpose?

And if you look at Infinity Wars, most of the faces (especially Emma Frost’s) are stock faces from Poser models. It’s bewildering considering he obviously knows how to draw without them.
