The white heels are an interesting touch.

While quite a bit from Zatanna's regular costume, I like it. The hat gives it a fair bit of flair, and she has an individual style.
«Speaking generally, it is because of the desire of the tragic poets for the marvellous that so varied and inconsistent an account of Medea has been given out» (Diodorus Siculus, The Library of History [4.56.1])

I think Selena Gomez would be a great Zatanna
Awesome!! Zatanna is one of the few heroes left who still have a silly weakness. Remember the time when Green Lantern's weakness used to be the color yellow? I applaud Tynion for turning something so silly into something so badass.
Also I heard Ram V is taking over JLD after Tynion from issue #20 . I loved the JLD Annual he wrote for Swamp Thing.
The speaking is supposed to be a concentration aid not a requirement for her spells. She can also write out her spells or cast them using her blood. She is also supposed to have skills like knowing how to be an escape artist and slight-of-hand.
The JLD moment is bad ass though I agree.
Zatanna kicked ass, literally, in today's Catwoman issue.
