"My superpower? I'm irresistible to women." Gambit- ANXF #9
Gambit's kittens: Oliver, Lucifer and Figaro: Oliver and Company.
Pretty sure the TG can run a boat casino and still help out. If not then the size of their organization has been grossly exaggerated. They are supposedly a international organization.
And running an establishment where the criminal element hangs out would be a good source of Intel and part of the reason for Gambit to not want the UA screwing shit up. They are going to be threats after this one so there is an interest in keeping a place like this open.

It's hard for me to listen to someone not in my position. A caterpillar can't relate to what an eagle envisions.
Agreed, but that fact alone makes it all the more egregious if in fact he isn't helping, no? To be able to help, but choose not to? I know we are simply discussing what the implications could be if Gambit were indeed behind the boat and still recognized by Marvel writers as the head of ITG. What all that means or could mean to his friends and teammates. At this rate, even the worst case scenario (him being a self serving cad) would be better than we've been getting since the end of SW (nothing).

Realistically speaking about fictional matters. | Nutcases need not respond. | Stay outta my DMs. | Why does the "House of Ideas" keep duplicating characters?! | If an idea or belief cannot stand up to criticism it's probably... bad.
I am not saying he would choose not to help. I am saying he might tell the UA to get out of his establishment as he can't be seen as letting the heroes run roughshod over him otherwise criminals would have no reason to trust his establishment.
The point being that he has to be seen as protecting the criminal element from the superheroes. And if the UA don't understand that nuance, they may escalate things before he can offer aid more secretly because they dont trust him.

Mannnnnnnnnn, I was really looking forward to this, too. You all know how much I adore Rogue, but I've been SO disgusted by her portrayal over the last few years that I wasn't even going to give this latest incarnation of UA a chance. And I didn't, until they teased the #5 cover. For Gambit, I'd give it a go. Even bought the last two issues, thinking they would be laying the ground work for his appearance. Nothing but disappointment in that regard. And now this?! I was hoping for at least a page of interaction, yet bleeding cool says he doesn't even make an appearance?! If that's true, what a f@$&ing crock. Guess I'll have to hang in there for the '92 ongoing...at least it looks like he'll be his old wisecracking self THERE.
Juan posted this in the Rogue thread but that cocky Cajun grin belongs here, too. I love the homage to x-men #4's basketball game XD
It seems it`s Daredevil's new sidekick again LOL.
It explains why Duggan ignored all Gambit questions at X-Position.
We were cheated with Gambit on the cover and no Gambit inside before. But this line "Gambit makes his move" on the cover makes me mad!

At least... fake Gambit was cute?
Was Rogue looking to shag him in the bank vault or something?
I'm guessing Rogue knew it wasn't Gambit probably and was testing him to make sure. Gambit's so obsessed with Rogue he'd jump though any hoop to kiss her, and she has to know that.
Yeah, she knew real Remy would never refuse to kiss her.
I liked how this artist draws Gambit and that he used Mann`s design here. It was sad that colorsit used colors wrong for his costume (not like in Gambit`s last solo) and didn`t make him red/black eyes.
