Grant seemed like such a great guy, and he was so young, this really sucks.

I agree. Life is so cruel and unfair.

    Grant Imahara, rest in peace.

TV host Regis Philbin passed away.

His show with Kathy Lee Gifford was a little too bland for me, but I always enjoyed seeing him as a guest on the Letterman show.

(Edit: Sorry, missed that on the last page, Tami.)

Former Chicago ABC affiliate meteorologist Jerry Taft passed recently. Retired just a couple of years back. While I usually just try to accept that there's going to be upsetting times that are just an unfortunate reality of being alive, it was still a shame to hear that a guy that still seemed like he had a lot of "Worthwhile Living..." years still ahead of him had passed.

John Saxon, one of the greatest B-Movie stars most commonly known for his roles in "Enter the Dragon" and "Nightmare on Elm Street", died of pneumonia at the age of 84.

My then-teenage mother met him back in the '50s at a friend's birthday party in Brooklyn. She said all of the girls (including herself) thought he was dreamy.

For me, the guy seemed to pop up in every show I watched as a kid, as well as many '70s made-for-TV films. Of course, no film made more of an impact on my generation of boys like Enter the Dragon did, which still does it for m all those years later.

Call me old fashioned but I loved the pairings of Olivia de Haviland with Errol Flynn. My favorite is Robin Hood. A bit of trivia.... the palomino horse she rode in that movie was later obtained by Roy Rogers and he became known as Trigger.

Yeah, she's Melanie in GWTW but I really don't like that movie.

I loved John Saxon. He had a number of appearances on SMDM/BW, most notably playing "Maskatron" and in the second Bigfoot 2-part Crossover story, "The Return of Bigfoot".

He was very athletic and muscular and kept up intensvive exercsise even a few years ago.
