This is true. I like joy and joyful superheroes who superhero because they can do it. Probably why I buy so few Big 2 comics these days and why Captain America (the first one) is my favourite of the recent crop of MU movies (have not seen CA2 yet)

I'm not terribly enamoured with the character either. My issue with the character is the entire "has to act like a loser because of his guilt-inspired responsibilities" aspect to him. I just don't relate well to emo.

He's always been my favorite character.
