Martinique must survive
Yara Flor & Emma "Mama" Frost stan account
I love that Arcade just has no freaking clue how Mastermind's illusions work.
Mastermind could make him hear the word 'Confirmed' any time he wants to 'confirm' one of his own illusions, and even convince him that his headset is working, when it's not. "No, really, it must be on. I can *see* the little red light, and I can hear a little voice say, 'Confirmed' whenever I say Confirm?'... Oh wait..."
He does have a clue.
Re-read his explanation in the beginning of the issue again, it's not just the word "Confirmed", there are many other redundant signals as well.
Sure, Mastermind could probably replicate them all assuming he knew about them, but he (presumably) does not.
This felt like a filler issue at best, or maybe just a set up issue is a better way to describe it. It wasn’t bad and had some legitimately funny moments but really the last 2 issues could’ve been consolidated into one. I know Hickman gets a lot of flack for doing this same thing but I think the main difference is Hickman sets up a new thread every time and this one is just stretching out one thread. Art was solid though and I don’t know much about Greycrow so a peek into his past was interesting. 6/10.
Protex: “Tronix! Fluxus! What’s happening there? Zenturion? He’s only one man!”
Superman: “The most… uh… dangerous man on earth…”
— Superman on Batman, JLA #3 (Mar. 1997)
“He’s the most dangerous man alive in any comic universe.” — Wizard Magazine on Doctor Doom (Nov. 1998)
“[He’s] the most dangerous man in the Marvel universe, because his greatest weapon is the way he thinks and plans, his tremendous intellect.” — Tom Brevoort on T’Challa (Sep. 2010)
I’m being assaulted by a chuck doll. Confirm?
It was the best thing i’ve read in the past 12 months

Love, love, love this book and this issue was outstanding. One question though: isn’t that Regan whom Arcade has hostage, not Martinique?

How would you like to earn yourself a No-Prize, Jace?
I mean, the sisters in Power Pack just swapped hair colour for their latest series, so I guess it's just something that happens in 616 (four children from the same parents each having different hair colour aside).
