Nah, New Warriors would be more like Tab. Avengers would be Pepsi. And urine can be a great fertilizer thanks to its contents of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.
(J/k . I love both NW and SG so I'm totally fine with mixing them, if that is what they are doing)
Firestar and Justice are mutants, probably owned by Fox. I'm not sure about Namorita, but Namor also had some rights issues that I'm not sure have been resolved.
I think they COULD use Nova, but since the GotG movies already introduced the Nova Corps, they probably don't want to contradict that.
Because NT was recently seen during CW II: CHOOSING SIDES #1 and Speedball tends to survive anything due to his kinetic powers. The current status of Justice {and his NW Team following SPIDER-VERSE}, Firestar and Namorita remains unknown, Richard Rider/Nova is back and dealing with his current situation (as revealed within Issue #5). And not too many of the other former NWs has been followed-up so far........
^Pax, they were referring to the New Warriors TV show, not the comic book.
At this point since we didn't see them in Inhumans vs X-Men, I assume Justice and Firestar are dead until proven otherwise.
Yeah I figure it be Squirrel Girl, Speedball and Night Trasher are automatic.
Speedball is the annoying party loving comedy relief type who always comes up with dumb ideas.
Night Trasher has the deadpan leader type with blunt sarcastic humor.
Honestly, since its a comedy show anyway...they might very well be Reality TV Superheroes.
If no Firestar or Namorita not sure what girls they get. Maybe they mine some Great Lakes Avengers?
I don't know anyone on that team though.
Expect some diversity though to broaden the demo.
Great Lakes can't be used. They won't be able to do Bertha's extreme obesity or Flatman's 2D body justice on a TV budget. Doorman is redundant - an actual New Warrior, Silhouette, has similar powers. That just leaves Mr Immortal, and I can't see him being used without any of the others. In addition, the whole team are mutants.
Turning the New Warriors into a comedy act makes me sad.
