Maybe it's the director's way of saying the moon landing was a hoax.
To be completely honest it really wasn't that great of a movie it was just kinda okay....
It's connected to the Flag Controversy but I think Buzz Aldrin and Chuck Yeager coming out against it hurt it more than the actual Flag Controversy that started it all.
Its gonna be interesting to see if it hangs around this fall as new films arrive. First Man earned $16.5+ million and came in 3rd at box office. Its budget lucky for it , is $59 million. So if it can go a few weeks ...it may hang around and get around that possibly. We will have to wait and see.
"The story so far: As usual, Ginger and I are engaged in our quest to find out what the hell is going on and save humanity from my nemesis, some bastard who is presumably responsible." - Sir Digby Chicken Caesar.
“ Well hell just froze over. Because CM Punk is back in the WWE.” - Jcogginsa.
“You can take the boy outta the mom’s basement, but you can’t take the mom’s basement outta the boy!” - LA Knight.
"Revel in What You Are." Bray Wyatt.
First Man doesn't interest me, so I won't see it, but it seems like one of those films that disappoints at the box office but gets a boatload of Oscar buzz. If the film does take home a statue or two or three, say like for Best Picture, Best Actor or Best Director, few will remember or care that it brought up the rear behind a comic book based thriller (Venom) and a thrice remade film (A Star Is Born).
Avatar: Here's to the late, great Steve Dillon. Best. Punisher. Artist. EVER!
Has Gosling ever had a hit besides lala land? didn't even know the movie was out. Good actor tho.
It's not because of a flag. It's because it's a mediocre movie that filmed almost entirely in vomit-inducing shakey-cam. This is the first movie I ever had to walk out of before it ended, and I sat through Battlefield Earth and Batman and Robin!
I hope it flops so that it finally kills shakey-cam movies.
Both came out against the Flag Planting not being in the film and Yeager adding the placing of the Flag was always part of the mission because of its symbolisms during the Cold War it was a race with the Soviets also Yeager said the film's Armstrong was not the man he knew.
