Default MICHAEL BAY on Lobo: Yea or Nay? Cast Your Vote!

Lobo is a big, loud parody of ultraviolence and that is really what Bay specializes in.

We'll get lots of noise, lots of explosions, and lots of dumb fun.

In other words, the perfect Lobo movie!

I just hope that if this deal actually goes through, Warner/DC has the guts to make it R-rated.

So, what do you guys think? Do you see any downside in Michael Bay taking on the Main Man?

If not Bay, who do you think SHOULD direct a Lobo movie?

There is a story on here and on Newsarama that Michael Bay is in talks with DC for a Lobo movie. It really wasn't something that I would have thought of, but now that it seems to be more than just a rumor, the idea does appeal to me in spite of (actually because of) how dumb I think his movies are.

Lobo is a parody character that was intended to mock everything Michael Bay holds dear.

Yeah, I know. I like the idea of him doing a parody of his own work without knowing it just by doing his usual thing. It allows the movie to be viewed at more than one level.

It's still going to be a mess of action scenes where the camera is way too close to follow what is going on, with dozens of ultra-quick cuts making it worse, so that I can't watch it on any level at all.

Bay is perfect for Lobo can't lie. Lobo might be a hard sell tho for whoever directs.

Ok then yea id give him a shot. Bad boys is one of my favorite movies. I even liked the sequel. Transformers has me worried becuase the action in those is muddled and hard to follow.

Bay as a director was born for a character like Lobo.

Is it now okay to say Warner Bros just cares about money right now after Justice League flopped. How they can consider a man with an even worse track movie record than Zack Snyder blows my mind.

When it comes to making successful movies instead of good ones, Bay's track record is very impressive.

WB obviously does not care even a little bit about DCEU movies being good. You can tell from almost every single last decision they made.

DCEU is in terrible shape. You need success stories all across the board. Critical success, fan love and financial success. It makes hardly any sense to put a film in the hands of Michael Bay now.
