I've been pleased at how high stakes this arc has been.

It's meant to be an evolution from the previous peak of the invasion arc and we've been a state of essentially "OH NOOO!" for like three or four months now.

It's very good. One of the most consistent series I have ever read.

And when it's good, it's downright amazing.

I've had some issues with Kingdom in the past, mostly revolving around Houken and the way some stuff happens around him, but I agree that in general it's very good.

Agree that I've had some issues. Sometimes I get tired of the whole 'I'm dumb and stubborn and that's what makes me the best' kind of central character (who has changed, now, admittedly), and the 'I won't lose because I won't lose' thing, which has come up. But I figure about the same as Siriel - in general, it's quite good.

Basically, Kingdom occasionally stumbles trying to be a typical shounen manga. It's not.

Kingdom's strengths are its strategy, tactics, politics, sense of history and comaraderie, upon which great fights can piggyback.

Agreed on mashima’s character strengths and the lack of group interaction which fitness fare better as fairy tail went on. The new series definitely seems interesting int eh sheer scope too
