Happy New Year to my favorite Batgirl. Man it feels great seeing her in that costume again.
Would have loved to see who takes her out in the final battle of the Death Metal storyline. Did she get overrun by psycho Robins? Was it a Dark Bat? Was it a nightmare version of herself? I guess I should just be glad that she appeared in the battle at all.
Underappreciated run with the Cassandra Cain character is in Chuck Dixon's BATMAN AND THE OUTSIDERS run.
Its actually my favorite string of issues with the character, with the SUPERBOY one off as a close second. Artwork by Julian Lopez and Bit were top notch (where are THEY now?)

Favorite visual presentation is Amanda Conner's BIRDS OF PREY Ninja Batgirl look.
Having a verbally impaired character wear a cowl with the mouth sewn shut is a little OFF. for me (and I like creepy). But Conner's design pulls it all together and gives her girlish and functional stylish open hair treatment.
And my favorite road not taken with the Cassandra Cain character is still Gail Simone's ANGEL OF THE BAT pitch.

For a character with little civilian life, its odd that every elseworld story she's in, everyone knows her name
Joshua Williamson said that Cassandra Cain will be very busy elsewhere in response to question about the new Robin title's martial arts tournament but Shiva will be there in the first issue
Cheers to the first Batgirl to get her own solo series.
