I actually think that is a great idea.

Great news.....but that means that there is going to great Exodus to Raw and SmackDown.

I wonder will see the UK title defended on NXT as well?

The UK title has already been defended multiple times in the main NXT.

Part of me will miss 205 live, as it was IMO an underrated show. I think it arguably was the best wrestling product on WWE week after week, even taking NXT into account.

But this move probably is for the best

I think it's a pretty good idea, plus it gives Gulak a chance to face pretty much the entire NXT roster since most clock in under 205.

Yeah, this definately adds a ton of depth to the cruiser weight division, as we're not locked into seeing the same half dozen guys wrestle over and over again.

Might be cool if the cruiser weight belt was somewhat of a floating title like the womans tag belts, where it could be defended on any brand.

New Japan is still pissed with Impact over how poorly they treated Okada. They can't be happy about this development.

Didn't they send Okada there knowing he'd be misused, so that he'd understand how good a deal he was getting with them?

Okada was send to Impact for his excursion. The guy wasn't going to get the royal treatment as he was still a rookie in training but Impact finally fucked the guy over.

Something similar happened with EVIL when RoH had him and it almost killed the relationship with New Japan as well. Unlike Impact, they course corrected with roppongi 3K and Jay White.

****, i really hadn't even noticed. i hope they do away with that idea.

hopefully the quality stays up, it's been really good this year. it just sucks because you kind of know any talent they build as their own will likely get scooped up by WWE or AEW. with LAX gone they've done a great job building the north(aka monster mafia) but i think they need a little more depth in the tag division. hopefully they bring back reno scum and maybe konehead brings in a new team as well.

on the plus side okada came back with the character/gimmick(which he pretty much took from black pope) and improvements needed to become the top guy.

I agree. A lot of the UK guys are cruisers and it will make a fine undercard belt for those guys. I don't think there's room for the cruiserweight belt on main NXT having four of its own titles to focus on.

I don't think NXT UK has tapings or shows anywhere as frequently as 205 live did, or as frequently as NXT will when it debuts on USA. So odds are if the 205 guys were used ONLY in NXT UK they'd have a lot of down time doing nothing. That said, there's a descent amount of cross over between NXT and NXT UK to the point where you can mix things up and have cruiser weights on their show as needed.

I think they could make the cruiser weight belt a floating title like the womans tag belt to the point where it could be defended on any WWE program.

The cruisers have a lot of down time doing nothing as things are right now. They only work 205 Live shows and a few main-event tapings. Only the champion and whoever is challenging for the belt get to work house shows. Nothing really going to change for them if cruiser belt stays in UK.
