And I know there have constantly been problems with rail service in Connecticut and New York with downed lines, downed tree limbs, signal failures, etc.
Out here, it's usually a pedestrian being hit. Takes a while to clean one of those up. Or a mugging on the train, or an assault, rape, murder, or something fun like that.

Not really. Ave used rail quite often out to Long Island, up to Boston. Not constant problems at all, not more than long, long traffic jams. The Northeast corridor trains are usually on schedule.. Europe has shown how well rail travel can work.

Especially since GM no longer makes Pontiac Trans Ams . . .

Problem it, it sounds like a bad recording of a muscle car. It's really noticeable, and sounds a bit pathetic. Might as well drive along making "vroom, vroom" noises.

The Trans Am should be brought back as an EV.

But Pontiac put out the Trans Am, and GM shut down Pontiac back in 2010.

The Trans Am was based off of the Pontiac Firebird, which was a sister car to the Chevrolet Camaro.
So GM could produce an EV based off of that.

Saw a truck I couldn't identify by the logo, figured it was my first Rivian, and sure enough, it's on the car doors. Okay looking, but that's about all I can say about it.

Saw one on the highway in CT. Consumers Reports says it's a great vehicle.

Yep, that's what I've heard. But kind of terrible in the sticks, since there are few chargers.

But would you prefer the look to the Tesla Cybertruck?

I would prefer the look of roadkill to the Tesla truck. The Rivian is actually quite nice. Not Ram nice, but nice.

Yeah, that Tesla truck looks like it was designed for Minecraft or something.
