Well this news just ruined my day. I grew up in Nova Scotia, not too far from where he's been living for the last decade and he's kind of been my local hero. I've always loved his work and am pretty saddened to hear this.

This is horrible news. I wish the best for both him and his family right now. I am a big fan of his and his artwork. The only time I bother buying a variant cover edition is when he does the art.

I doubt that the majority knows the terms palliative and curative in regards to cancer, heck, I just learnt that there was that kind of distinction two years ago. Only because I got a look into a department for radiotherapy and radiooncology.
