Definitely get the vibe of a crazier Carol Danvers.

You're ahead of yourself, he has only been elected once thus far.

Have you ever tried Monstress by Marjorie Liu and Sana Takeda?

It is a dark fantasy series with beautiful art, a well realized world and interesting themes.

The first three TPBs have been collected into one big volume.

Highly recommended, it's just really good.
I have the first trade of it. The artwork is really nice but the story didn't really grab me exactly.

I might go back to it maybe.

Oh wow... that's... hopefully not an omen.

Fixed that post. But the damage may already have been done.

Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

I get why Isabelle is there. She and Doom-Guy are buddies, the internet told me so.

But I don't quite understand why Miruko and the Hazbin Hotel person are present as well.

These are my opinions, since I don't know the reasons for the commissioner (since this was a commissioned piece):

Miruko is there because her Quirk is "Rabbit", and Doom Guy is canonically fond of rabbits, considering he had a pet rabbit named Daisy whose murder was the reason behind his rampage through the forces of Hell in Doom II.

Charlie (Hazbin Hotel person) is there because of irony. She's a demon of Hell, but she's such a sweet summer child who wants to redeem everyone in Hell and is so un-demonic that she's probably the one demonic entity that Doom Guy/Slayer won't rip and tear into bloody chunklets.

A crazier Carol Danvers? That’s quite a narrow band.

Next you’ll be saying Homelander is more totalitarian and authoritarian than Carol.

Alternatively, I thought of her as Power Girl after a *very* bad day.
    Ichigo: What even *are* you?!

Kenpachi: Some say my mother was a train. Some say that I'm a rejected Godzilla monster too strong for the series canon. But everyone says: I'M THE KEEEEENPACHIIIIII!!!!

One could also theorize that Charlie's trying to smooth over relations between demons and humans/DoomSlayer by being of the best examples of the former. Besides, it would be rather difficult to have demons find redemption if he's slaughtering them all.

They might be able to hire him on as a bouncer though.

Well, he did try to take over the country in the comic.

Anyhow... umm... I actually went and bought some comics. Haven't been shopping for them since the second month of lockdown but I've gotten a bunch of fun stuff on the way.

Anyone got any good recommendations for next time? I only buy trades and tend to skew away from the Big Two. What have people been reading?
Check out Die from Image Comics. Great writing and beautiful art.
