Silk's debut was terrible. Don't know what Slott was thinking. Read a few issues of Thompson's Silk series and it didn't do anything for me either. I think the character sucks.

Well, it was still short when she last appeared, in Atlantis Attacks.
But Miyazawa definitely doesn't like drawing bobbed hair. He gave Gwen long hair too. 616 Gwen had long hair, but Spider-Gwen was previously usually shown with a bob, which she promptly reverted to when another artist took over.

what are her neighborhoods to patrol, since this is new york city based? or is she pan-city?
Will they delve into her sheltered life and what she missed out on?
I want to see all new villains for her. And at least one super-obscure Spidey foe who gets updated just for her. Perhaps it's time for an all new human fly.
Dan Slott's Silk by far. Really don't know what Slott was doing on her debut. I hate that character. Randy and unlikeable.
Queenpin Felicia sucked by Dan Slott. Square peg in round hole. Thank God, Nick Spencer has redeemed her. One of the biggest plus points in Spencer's run on the book.
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

With that face there, it'd make me think of Winter Soldier who suddenly is a Spidey fan lol.
Again, just okay for me, never really clicked with it.
Wasn't aware he was the artist behind Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane, the art looked different there, and not just the color either, faces looked more like anime...
Yeah, the art shift from Stacey Lee to Tana Ford was...jarring, to say the least.[/QUOTE]
Thing is that the way it's worded implies she was an instant success, which is far from the truth, and there's still the one that says she has unique Spider-Powers, when she has one of the most boring ones with them being "Peter with organic webs", and she's not even the first one with that in 616 since Anya is also like this (Which Anya really shouldn't have those powers since she had her own powerset, but Marvel stupidly decided to slowy remove everything she had), so yeah, Marvel doesn't care about lying lol.
I have this theory that Cindy (Or at least, the idea of Cindy) is a character who Slott had in his head since he was a kid or a teen, and just, never updated the idea, which could explain why everything about it feels so much like a porn fanfiction.
That "Atlantis Attacks" name made me think of "Amazons Attack", hopefuly it's not as bad :P.
Wolfman's Felicia still had the basics that defined Felicia, even with that lame ass "Never cross a black cat's path" cathphrase, it's not even bad, just not as interesting as what other writers did, and certainly isn't anywhere near as bad as 90's Felicia with the flanderized jealously, or fuckin' Queenpin with that... Everything.
Wish I could go 6 months without being reminded in some way that Queenpin happened again, those were nice times .
Let's be fair and not blame only Slott for that, since whenever anyone else wrote Queenpin Felicia, she still sucked... Thompson's Felicia in Silk's comic is the one who was better, even then it was still pretty eh.

I did use the term ORIGINAL version when talking about Cindy and Felicia not Queen pin. My own opinion is Cindy ( and even though Queen pin was not an option, it still beats Cindy).
I like Cindy's last series and hoping this one does well. I might have preferred her outside of New York but I'll manage.
I'm hoping the cat-demon villian is still around.
There is zero chance of me reading her comic. I especially do not like the idea of her at the Daily Bugle. Why? You can bet she will be part of Peter’s life ( maybe even romantically). As an MJ shipper who is for her or no one, I would take Michelle, Felicia or any female over Cindy.
I do hope there's no switching up artist this time and keep Tana Ford out of this. Takeshi Miyazawa's work should pay off pretty good. Anyhow, this is how it should look:
