Ie : Your big in a similar but different thing, you then get involved in the new thing but the corporate side is trying to leverage off of your old star power and it becomes increasingly aware to fans that its less about what THEY (the star) can do and more about who they can draw.

I definately think Ronda can do this though. For a first year rookie she's pretty good. She's just being put in the difficult situation literally headlining the biggest show of the year. In the least she'll do okay to good. The issue I think ideally is rhey want this match to be great because of the historical significance.

Hell no. Punk was a complete failure and embarrassment at MMA because he never showed that he was worth being more than a fighter that fights in bum-ass local feds. Ronda is the biggest star in the company and has shown an actual talent for pro wrestling, so she's absolutely worthy of her status.

Apparently according to reports, Ronda asked Becky to hit her as hard as possible with those crutches at EC. And might have done the same with Charlotte at Survivor Series last year as well.

This doesn't surprise me. Look at how bruised up/cut she was after the beating Charlotte gave her at Survivor Series. And Becky and Charlotte have been beating the tar out of each other for months now.

I feel like all three of these women REALLY want to sell this, so "kick the crap out of each other" is probably something they agreed on. Also they probably know that it'll make for a GREAT Mania hype promo.

Really if WWE lets them cut lose and brutalizes each other at Mania (maybe even *gasp* have some blood in there as well), you could end up being VERY entertaining potentially. Especially since triple threat matches are No-DQ as well.

Ronda/Charlotte was supposed to have the spot where Ronda coughs up blood after Charlotte crushes her windpipe with the chair, but the capsule broke too early with an errant Charlotte punch, which actually made Ronda's bloody mouth look more realistic during their SS bout. I think there will be another spot like that at some point during the match.

It makes me wonder how Ronda managed to have a career in MMA if she can't tolerate people booing her.

Judo and MMA fan. She always been the champ of the casual fan. Your average ESPN/NBC viewer think she revolutionary. They'll cheer her all day. See her as an inspiration.

If you followed the sport, you know she's a mental flake that has natural talent but instead of refining it, she just rests on her laurels and prefers to be coddled. Her bronze in the Olympics was the direct result of her mother (for whom the Judo community greatly respects) had to literally sit on her and get disciplined. And that is her major failing.

What really pisses the hardcore fan of about Ronda is two fold. One is that the last two fights could have been hers. Even though both Holms and Nunes trained at good schools, Ronda theoretically had the upper hand. That's where the other part of the problem comes from who she trained with for those two fights. If she trainer with Carlson Gracie or even under CSW, this wouldn't be a problem. But she chose to train with Edoward, a desperate boxing gym owner who was making a living junking fighters careers and he yes man-d her too death. Everyone told her the truth and she cut them off. Her mom, Brendan Schaub, even her best friend. That's why you don't see 12 Gauge Paige in the WWE. She cut out her own best friend.

What you guys don't realize is that she's in the 'E because they are the ultimate coddlers. She has little to no obligations to sell events. Makes any old appearance she wants to. They'll give her every advantage.

Dave reported that the reason for the new NXT callups is both Raw and Smackdown are falling behind in rating and Vince believes the problem is that the shows have no stars. He took HHH best guys and put them on Raw last minute. Vince is unbelievable.
