I mean ... there might be a coincidence when it comes to certain books labelled X / FF and some other events in the media world. Roughly one third of the upcoming Omnibus Volumes (incl. reprints or rehashes) are from those families. I do not have the numbers straight, but it feels like a notable difference compared to the last two years?

I don't feel that way. These are complementary stories with the full series collected into a single Omnibus. The UMO has the first few issues of different series collected in a single book. The former makes sense to me the latter not so much.

Probably didn't help that the series relaunched after the first three trades, following Secret Wars. I can see how that would lead to confusion.
