The X-men were prepared to instantly fight then and there when she voluntarily surrendered to them, that's why Magneto has to save her. They had no sympathy for Wanda. And when she asked him that she could help repower mutants Scott told her to not do it, despite the fact she did restore Rictor's powers.
Fight, not kill. Scott says multiple times that he wanted to take her. The X-men did not try to kill her in that battle. Why would anyone have sympathy for Wanda considering what she did? F--k her! Them being understanding of the Life Force crap and deciding to leave her alone was enough. She did not need Scott nor the X-men to feel sympathy and coddle her beyond that
It's not like they've gone through an ideal like this before, but this must only apply to people who are X-men.
Xavier failed to help Wanda though therapy, as well. Bendis created another Dark Phoenix inspired storyline and people are falling over themselves to burn Jean, I mean Wanda at the stake.
Jean literally killed herself over what she did. Y’all can keep throwing other characters here to deflect but she and Scott were held accountable and paid for their sins. Wanda was vacationing and sipping martinis by the beach
