I think Bloodties was supposed to be bigger than it was. Originally it was announced as a crossover that would explore the relationship between Quicksilver, the Scarlet Witch, and Magneto - Bob Harras, who edited X-Men and wrote Avengers, had been building up the idea that the Acolytes would want to kidnap Pietro's daughter for a long time before it finally happened.

But then "Fatal Attractions" happened and while it was good for X-Men sales, it made Magneto unavailable to participate in this crossover. And you can tell that without Magneto they really don't have a plot for the crossover at all. Exodus just shows up, beats up everybody, and leaves.

It was a missed opportunity to finally do a story that would really explore the fact that Magneto's children are Avengers; the closest thing we got was House of M and of course neither Pietro or Wanda were active Avengers at the time (to say the least).

It is so depressing that one joke page in Strange Academy has more Scarlet Witch content than we've had in months, even as she is about to be the star of the next MCU project.

Several of those gags in the page could actually be good stories if done for real, but no one seems to write them.

The Maximoffs are not mutants, but they do have mutant DNA signatures. This is why they are detected by Cerebro and scanned as mutants by Centinels. On M-Day, the Wanda's spell affected Pietro because he had a mutant DNA signature. The "No More Humans" thing applied to those without mutant DNA signatures.

Pietro lost his powers on M-Day, and regained them using terrigen mist, which would have poisoned him if he was a real mutant. Wanda went to Heroes Reborn Earth after Onslaught, where mutants weren't supposed to exist, because she is not a mutant.

To be fair here, at least from what I know and can find, the whole "Terrigen Mist poisons mutants" thing wasn't established until after the retcon. Can't really use something made post-retcon as evidence for the retcon having grounds before it happened. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I can't speak on the other part with Heroes Reborn Earth though.

So from Feiges interview with Empire for WandaVision he said this:
"So it seemed exploring that would be worthwhile post-Endgame. Who else is aware of that power? Where did it come from? Did the Mind Stone unlock it?"

It could just wind up being magic, but this does sound a bit like they might wind up making her a mutant again.
