"A happy ending? So unlikely. We're not having a moment here.
Wrong city, wrong people, all huddling in fear.
No one escapes the slaughterhouse, and that's just where you're at.
(You could've asked Rebecca but then Adam stomped her flat.)
You think you're special cuz you're scrappy? You're deluded, time to go.
Lucy's living on the moon but you're another dead psycho."
It's about to go down.
Good lookin' out fellas for not spoiling the balls ofa the show.
So I'm actually back to Netflix from like years ago when they mailed you DVD's. So you can't just skip to the last episode right?

Beefing up the old home security, huh?You bet yer ass.
I got one more episode of Luke Cage to go. I am totally convinced that the guy who wrote that article for The Ringer must not have watched passed the first episode. The third act explicitly deals with the relationship between cops and communities of color. The gender issues in this show are subtle, but they're there too. As well as criticism of the privatization of prisons. There's no way anyone could watch this show and think it's about black conservatism.

I do really hope that the Ray is going to be gay like in the new cartoon series. If the Justice League gets a gay team member before the Avengers do I'll finally swallow my pride and admit that DC is doing better with gay characters than Marvel. But in both cases a gay Justice League member and a gay Avenger are waaaaay overdue.
Yeah, that too. Hopefully this show doesn't make the kind of mistakes that Game of Thrones has and receive backlash. Also her name is Dolores.
re-watching Luke Cage again from the beginning.
The J-man
I posted this in the politics thread but I imagine it's relevant to be posted here too.

In the class recorded for “Do Not Resist,” Grossman at one point*tells his students that the sex they have after they kill another human being*will be the best sex of their lives. The room chuckles.*But he’s clearly serious. “Both partners are very invested in some very intense sex,” he says. “There’s not a whole lot of perks that come with this job. You find one, relax and enjoy it.”

Moondragon is bisexual, she used telepathy to force Thor to be her lover once. Was Living Lightning ever a core member of the Avengers, or was he just a member of an off-shoot team like the Great Lakes Avengers?
I know there have been characters on major teams who were later written as gay or bi or are a part of an off-shoot team like the Young Avengers, but I don't think there's ever been a superhero on the main Justice League or Avengers teams that was written as anything other than straight while they were on the team.
He was on the West Coast Avengers. He's never been a member of GLA, but he was first revealed to be gay in their mini series. It is true that he's a minor character that spends most of his time in 'comic book limbo', though. I can't recall the last time I saw him in a book...
