I am trying to be hopeful that Wanda still has allies, and that they’re pushing back against her treatment. Even Magneto himself looked less than pleased admitting to that, even ashamed. That he was asking if Teddy and Billy would show up, along with his invitations to Wanda and Pietro via emails, points to him wanting his family to be whole again. If Ewing can thread the needle of putting this to rest without sacrificing Wanda to her haters, I would be relieved.

If your interest in her solely depends on her stirring shit up for mutantkind, then good for you.
I, for one, cannot wait for all of these BS to end, again, so at least I got some peace and quiet. I don't care about X-franchise and I certainly don't feel it's flattering in any way when they try to use Wanda again for their narrative, nuanced or not, it doesn't really add to her lore and character.

Really, I want the ties cut clean, being functionally dead is still better than at the mercy of X-office. At best it's another waste of time, at worst it's revenge porn for X-fans. And even if Wanda gets the favorable light, she will probably get shitted on by bitter X-fans even more. (The more reasonable ones simply don't care anymore as well.)
Pumping her limited exposure to pointless drama will also shape her image in a really bad way... IMO, if she falls to the X-lines as some permanent shitbag to dunk on, that would be the end of her character.

It's bad enough with everyone casual cheering on HoM on Twitter and stuff, if Wanda ends up being "that thot from X-books", I will just see myself out of her fandom to save myself some mental health.

What was the point of that retcon if they undo it like five years later? This back and forth in regards to Wanda's and Pietro's origins is really annoying.

At the time the point was for money now that Fox and X-men belong to Marvel a retcon that was mostly hated holds no purpose best to just do away with it it would give Wanda more Clout and it would definitely heal Pietro's character.

So, the S.W.O.R.D. thing has a good and a bad side. The bad side is, obviously, spoilers:

the idea that she is considered an enemy of the state by Krakoa.

Hulkling and, by extension, the Kree/Skrull Empire are on Wanda's side

end of spoilers, I think Ewing is actually subverting the idea that the reader should see Wanda as a monster, because I don't think he would want those characters to come off as being in the wrong, judging by how they were written in Empyre. I think it's refreshing to see this take coming from an X-title and, honestly, it's what we needed if they were gonna keep bringing up Wanda. It's nice that SOMEONE is challenging Krakoa's vision and not just blindly going along with everything they say.

Also, can we all agree now that the e-mails Wanda received in Strange Academy were definitely not considered canon by the X-Office? There is no way Beast and Magneto would've invited Wanda to Krakoa in a friendly manner under those circumstances shown in S.W.O.R.D., unless you wanna hop on the conspiracy theory that they were trying to lure her with cruel intentions.

It could be that Wanda's treatment isn't completely in the hands of the writers though.

Pietro's character, yes. He spent most of his time over there and writers treated him far better. Wanda no. Hasn't ever happened.
