Default Batman only makes sense in the Justice League if...?

He bank roles the team and he’s the behind the scenes planning guy. Any role that has him fighting side by side with demigods is silly.

that isn't really a discussion topic...

it's kinda just a "hot take", it would be more appropriate as a post in one of the Controversial Opinion threads.
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki

also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.

    currently following:
    • DC: Red Hood: The Hill
    • Marvel: TBD
    • Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force

"Silly" or Fantasy? Like the idea that a man from space would put on a cape and tights and defend our way of life and an Amazon warrior woman flies an invisible jet? But stories of men and demigods go waaaaay back. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's a theme we humans have a desire to explore.

He doesn't even bank roll the team...that's one of the biggest misconceptions I see on youtube and facebook from "casuals".

I thought the post-crisis JLA run from 97-2006 showed a great way of representing how Batman works in a team. He was important, but didn't overshadow people in most of the stories.

Yeah, I thought so too. He has a role to play, but isn't supreme.

He's sitting in the Control Room dictating strategies for the team in the field.

Batman on the Justice League ONLY makes sense if he's a well adjusted hero and person, not some broken hero who can't save anyone, mistreat his family, friends and allies while making everything worse.

Yes, yes, we can't have our adventures of ridiculously attractive people with capes and underwear outside their skintight outfits punching each other be silly.

I mean, come on. Let's start taking this more seriously people!

Batman in reality should always feel insecure about hanging with superhumans but conversely it's shown they are nervous hanging around him which is twistedly humorous. Kind of silly really that a human in Dracula lite costume scares the crap out of the rest of the crowd who can turn him into a smear even without trying.

How many superhumans do you think are scared of Batman?

    Maybe not in modern comics.

But back when superhero comics were allowed to be fun, he did fit in.

Unless he wear a power armour to balance things out. Albeit one can argue that technically the batmobile is just that, minus the humanoid limbs. Of course there is Batman of the future who use a power exoskeleton and no one has issue with it. (But is kind different world where villain are more powerfull...and kind of creepierat times if it is even possible in a Batman universe)
