But if he could control their minds then he would have had no reason to appear to them in the form of a swan or tree or whatever...
Greek mythology is supposed to be weird. Mythology in general is pretty weird. Blood of Zeus doesn't really go overboard with it but there's one moment I thought was extremely appropriate.
My favorite example:
Zeus: Oh WOW I have a HORRIBLE headache. Here, take this axe and split my head open.
Hephaestus*: Seems legit, ok.
Athena: *leaping out from the wound fully grown and armored* Hey, pops.
* = it was, IMO, most likely Hephaestus but some stories make the axe wielder anyone from Prometheus to Ares.
Anyway, yeah I'm gonna check this out. Sounds interesting.
Or the story behind Hephaestus's "son" Erichthonius of Athens.
We're getting a second season.

There's another "anime" which I think is American----but it've very, very good, "Blue Eyed Samurai". about the dispised daughter of a Dutch merchant/warlord introducint superior cannon to Japan. The protagonist is amazing, as is her sidekick. And yes, I mentioned she's female. And she gets beaten up, barely survives, and learns from every encounter to win the next one. She even loses and needs to be rescued. It's an amazing back and forth revenge story with twists I didn't see coming. It Americans start making "anime" this good....go for it! Whether supernatural or less to. I love those gorgeously animated anime, whoever makes them.
9/10 for me.
