If what Scott did is "torture", than Xavier should be put to death for his "training" room of death traps, flamethrowers, acid pits, and whirring saw blades. As well as any teacher that ever used the Danger Room, so Bobby, Jean, Hank, and Emma.

And anyway, the alternative was always for Hope to die. Beast for example, he seemed annoyed that Scott saved a 15-year-old girl because Kurt died. I mean, what the hell? The right thing was not risking their lives to save a teenager?
