Amusing anecdote from Jimenez on bts stuff DC on how they describe the Justice League. Apparently they had a policy of superlatives to describe the League
Superman: The strongest hero
Flash: The fastest hero
Batman: Smartest hero
Wonder Woman: Best Fighter*
*on the ground only.
I hate these idiotic "superlatives" especially when there are so many overlapping aspects of these heroes abilities. You gonna tell me that the superheroine who possesses the *wisdom of Athena* is not the smartest hero in the League as well? Or a superheroine who is as strong as Gaea herself/itself and as fast as Hermes (or as Níkē, if you want to keep her blessed by goddesses alone) is not the strongest and the fastest in the League as well as Superman and Flash? Then again, DC still uses the Daddy Zeus thing...
Yeah, apparently it was because they didn't want WW to encroach on what they saw as Superman's turf of being the strongest or center of DC. Though worth noting, this anecdote was from over a decade ago.
Anyways, most of the stream was a lot of stuff they've both gone over in other interviews but a few nuggets;
-The Amazon cast was mostly co-picked by them. Jimenez mainly used a lot of pre-existing ones as a jumping off point.
-If this gets all nine books other artists that DeConnick would want to work with are Bilquis Evely, Benjamin Dewey, Cliff Chiang, Colleen Doran, Joelle Jones.
