The people who designed Attilan came up with an idea how to save money that is so simple it is actually genius:
The energy field has the ability on the outside to protect imagery of the moon crater, to camouflage in. On the inside, we’ve designed it in such a way it can project imagery of Earth, like clouds, palm trees, sunsets, and things like that.
No need to cgi the moon around it. I actually like it. I would be depressing to live on the moon, just rocks around and nothing else.

Btw. According to solicitations for Inhumans: Once and future kings 3 the royal family is going to meet the Wizard. Now that could create some continuity problems, because that would mean that the wizard met Medusa and rest of the royals before his and Medusas first official meeting (the one where she has amnesia and he adds her to the Frightful four). But if that is the case how could he later not know who she is when he persuades her into joining him. Do you think they will erase his memory when his story arc is done?

The early Inhumans publication history has so many errors that you can only hope for a rough continuity fit (unless you think Attilan moved from the Andes to the Himalayas between issues). Short of Medusa describing what the Inhumans are, I don't think it'll be completely be irreconcilable anyway.

As far as I can tell there is only two continuity pitfalls.

    >Them telling people who didn't know about the inhumans before the f4 what they are

    >Maximus being sane after their parent's death

iirc Priest said Maximus wasn't crazy yet, but Unspoken is king which is something I thought happened after their parent's death. They situation with Unspoken was never clear because not speaking of him is part of the plot. I feel something is going to get retconned in there.

It's also a story completely ruined by the retcon while the retcon really makes little sense (even from just a visual perspective, one of the characters supposedly using a microphone for the prank is visible on screen. On top of that, all the Inhumans are in favor of Quicksilver's decision and aren't trying to change his mind).

All that being said, I'm starting to think John Byrne doesn't know how to do a twist. The entire issue, Lockjaw is referred to as an Inhuman and a dog that's not quite a dog. It seems weird that he's setting up the big twist that he's an Inhuman and not a dog.
That sucks. And nobody made a big deal over it like they did in the Jenkins/Lee maxi-series when D'Woz was turned into an Alpha Primitive. I sure hope they re-do that, make it like Lockjaw was a puppy that wandered into the Mist chamber or something. Otherwise, a character we adore for his cute factor becomes a tragic figure.

That's precisely the point of the story. That's why it was set in a Thing story, who is simultaneous a loveable and tragic figure without contradiction.

This article is a MUST READ! Here are some things that stood out to me:

    - Showrunner Scott Buck's comments make me mildly angry every time I read any word that comes out of his mouth. While this particular interview isn't so bad, the man clearly doesn't like comic books and thinks they're too silly and fantastical (even though that's the freakin' point) and will take any opportunity to tell everyone that he deliberately tried to distance his show from the comics as much as possible. I sincerely hope this show either A) kicks ass; or B) gets renewed but without Buck's involvement, like Iron Fist (a show in which he said many of the same things, also about hereos who leave their fantastical world to interact with "normies"; why Buck, just why?). We like that they're weird and want to see them being weird.

    - Director Roel Reine's comments, however, are beyond insightful and give me so much hope for this series! He always speaks to the power and thematics at play with these larger-than-life characters and how he wants to convey their story from a technical perspective, something that is challenging to do for the first TV show in IMAX. Here, he talks about how there will be TWO alternate versions of the first two episodes. The IMAX "movie" will be more cinematic, have a larger scope, and feel wider without the fade-to-black-to-commercial transitions of a traditional TV series; the TV version will use the same takes and much of the same cinematic language, but will have additional scenes, pick up shots, and close ups that lend themselves to the small screen better and will be less jarring.

    - We learned that Attilan will be high-tech but feel less futuristic than the comics. I'm fine with this, especially after reading what the set designers' inspirations were (Russian expressionism, since its very grey and stone-centric, not wooden and aquatic, since they're stuck on the moon. Their culture pulls from different aspects of various old world cultures, lots of pillars and statues make things feel old but strangely new. We also are informed that the room Maximus confronts Black Bolt in (just before he's teleported away by Lockjaw) will be called "THE QUIET ROOM", apparently a zen room so to speak, where Black Bolt can meditate without the worry of his voice being too destructive since it is located at the center of Attilan and his voice would be channeled into space via the pyramid-like opening in its roof.

    - The last big thing that stood out to me was the confirmation of the terrigen chambers in the grand hall. They don't look as sci-fi as I expected them to be, but it's fine. They're beautiful and look less cold and harsh, like the pods from the comics. Reportedly, we'll be treated to a scene of at least four teens entering the mist here and receiving the gift of their heredity (I'm guessing one is the red bug-eyed guy from the SDCC trailer). Here's one of the pics:

Also, those statues of past Royals... one of them looks a lot like Reader. Maybe this is just an easter egg though, or a completely different character altogether, like Randac perhaps?

This strongly reminds me of the ceremony in Jenkin's run with Tonaja, Woz, and the rest of the teens. I hope it captures the sci-fi feel of that.

It's just me or the universe itself is conspiring to keep the Inhumans and the X-men tangled with a lot of similarities ?.

Because, seriously, what are the chances that he happens to share the views of Singer ?.

The major difference between the two is that the former have for the most part a cohesive, unified society (with diversity within) with a ruling class, whereas I haven't seen any evidence of an analogue in the X-Men movies where the majority of mutants are under one rule (a subpopulation pehaps).

In this case, im not talking about the in-universe similarities (there is Agents of SHIELD for that); but about the outside stuff.

These Scott Buck comments on fine, imo. There are other ones that bother me. I think they're less about distancing himself from comics as being afraid of them - at least with his comments about Inhumans. Usually, his comments are "while this story seems weird, it'll be relatable. There's a human element." That's fine. It's directed at an audience who might not check this out. The thing that bothers me is he'll never promise the opposite. He'll never say, "don't worry, we're not losing the comic book fun." We all want a story with good character, plot, and themes. But we're also watching it for the something else this genre brings. I don't know if he's necessarily avoiding the something else, but he's never going to highlight it.

To change the subject, I recall an Inhumans story where Karnak is teaching some children about Inhuman history to get them ready for Terrigenesis. I remember stained glass windows. Does anyone know which story I'm thinking of?

That was in Secret Invasion: Inhumans.
