That sucks , guess Netflix couldn't handle the jokes about the network that McHale did. This after upping the episode order at one point. (they added 6 episodes more).

Money became a factor it appears. Warner Brothers would have had to go and redo deals to keep it running with the main cast and others to go beyond 12 seasons. CBS really wanted it to keep going since its the #1 sitcom for them and still averages 18+ million viewers. But Warners decided it was time to end the series after 12 seasons and 279 episodes. Actually from what I'm reading Parsons not wanting to return beyond a 12th season is what is making season 12 the last, not money. They could have found the money but if Parsons doesn't want to do this anymore immaterial of money, CBS figures he's the heart of the show and without him might as well end it. I think it has more to do with McHale's show really didn't work that well on Netflix. It really needed to be a weekly show, and that just didn't really work for Netflix. I thought it worked best weekly, but when tried dumping a bunch at once it didn't work as well. At least for me it didnt. Originally Posted by SUPERECWFAN1
