That's a great choice nx01a.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Hillary was right!
The comic that saved Marvel in 1977. You can tell that it's adapted from the movie because Darth Vader has green armor and yellow eyes, just like the movie didn't.
PS I have a copy of that Lorna Doone adaptation but mine has a different cover. CI changed a lot of their covers over the years.

Anybody remember the TV show? All it needed was an action figure line and they'd have hit for the 80's action cycle.

Beefing up the old home security, huh?You bet yer ass.
I was just admiring the preview pages for that and debating getting it, because the nostalgia it evoked was palpable. This one was my first Dracula, way back when. I felt really quite extravagant blowing the entire week's lawnmowing money on it when I was fourteen. (Not a comic, but the Stoker novel, profusely illustrated with Lugosi stills. Cost me a staggering $4.95 back in '77.)
Those were the days! I remember when the first LCS opened in our area that had back issues for sale I thought I was really extravagant for buying Fantastic Four annual #2 for $5.00!
I was able to get 4 posters from a coupon I cut out in the comics. It was the set with Doctor Doom (Kirby), Spider-Man Captain America (Jim Steranko) and Hulk (Herbe Trimpe) They remained at my parents house in the attic. Then I found out my younger sister was on a cleaning binge and threw them away! I happened upon this GN on Amazon by doing a search of comic adaptions of books and got lucky that this came up on top of the list. Kerry Gammill worked for Marvel back in the 1980s and I remember him for working on Power Man & Iron Fist. His work on this is amazing. And it just came out November 3rd. I am tempted to get it myself!
Here is a scan of the ad that I saw back then.... all of $1.99!! I've seen the Doom poster on eBay for a couple of hundred. They were large too, as the ad says. 3 Feet high.
