Honestly I think that statement covers this book perfectly. A love letter to the classic fans while making you excited for the new adventures. I could hand this over to a friend who'd never read the other books and they'd enjoy it and want more.

I just wish open wish they could put the Hickman/Reis books in their own TPB or hardcover when it's done.

Dont think he'll care. Assuming he even has memories of Deathbird, he never loved her. She was a political move.

The current Vulcan will not have those memories as Xavier clearly did not resurrect thr same one who would remember Charles left him for dead on Krakoa.
