Damn, I love these.
Which artist drew the Namor on the 1980s banner?
Thank you! That was from the avenger cover where Namor was in the avengers in the 1980s! IIRC it was Tom Palmer who did the art for the book. Also I really really wanted to include Doom vs Namor from their many team ups in the 1975 supervillain team up but i had chosen the other art from his 70s series.

These are spectacular, Imperius Rex! Wonderful work!
Namor the Sub-Mariner, Marvel's oldest character, will have been published for 85 years in 2024. So where's my GOOD Namor anniversary ongoing, Marvel?
As I understand it, MPFW wasn't published, so Marvel Comics #1 it is then as his first published appearance.
For the curious, the list of the earliest American comic book heroes' first appearances looks something like this:
1935 - Doctor Occult
1936 - The Clock
1938 - Superman, Zatara, Americommando, Crimson Avenger, The Arrow, Black X, Skyrocket Steele, Dirk the Demon, Spencer Steele, Wilton of the West
1939 - Batman, Hop Harrigan, Sandman, Green Mask, Angel, Ultra-Man, Magician from Mars, Samson, Amazing Man, Marvel Man, Masked Marvel, Stardust the Super Wizard, Bob Phantom, Space Smith, the Wasp, Iron Skull, Mighty Man, the Flame, Golden Knight, Thor, Abdul the Arab, Wonder Man, the Eye, Shock Gibson, Spirit Man, Blue Beetle, Human Torch, Sub-Mariner, TNT Todd, Yarko the Great, Fantom of the Fair, Bozo the Iron Man, Crimson Rider, Doll Man, Invisible Hood, Phantom Rider, Red Mask, Rex Dexter, Sub Saunders, the Sword, the Wizard, Zanzibar the Magician

Motion Picture Funnies Weekly wasn't actually published though. and even then it still wouldn't make namor older than batman. because batman's first ever comic was released in March 1939. and that was the release date of Motion Picture Funnies Weekly not the cover date.Namor isn't older than batman or marvel lol.
Nope he isn't Motion Pictures Weekly was never published or released and even if it was Namor would 1 month younger than batman.
