I voted according to my personal likings, although there are characters as Psyche who I know they're great --but I don't primarily empathize with.

Also, there are some favorite characters of mine, but not in the time you're indicating. For example, I liked very much former Caliban as a Morlock (but not later), and I learnt to enjoy Syrin and M as members of X-Factor.
